I found this in the "autobiographical" tag search while looking for inspiration for one of my own projects, and didn't really look at the content warnings, so I wasn't expecting to be thrown into something so similar to what I experienced with my own anorexia when I was a student (also around 2018). I consider myself very recovered at this point, but I'm trying to build some muscle after gaining a bunch of weight while bedridden from an ankle injury, and it is so hard to separate exercising from calorie burning, just like you say. I'm trying my best. TL;DR, the writing in this was lovely and really atmospheric, wonderful work.

Also, I thought I recognised your handle, and I think it's because we used to be Twitter mutuals! Small internet! I hope you've been well.

Thanks so much, and thank you for playing!

Loved this! Got very attached to Yekaterina, my androgynous hermit with a dead little sister. Looking forward to wherever this goes next!

I ended up with 14 containers of jello and I played with Ralf 32 times. 10/10, would dig again.

I really like the general feel of this, especially the humour and the sound design. I noticed another comment mentions there being a puzzle - I couldn't find any myself. I spoke to everyone I could find/went into every building I saw and then backtracked around the town a few times to see if I'd missed something, but no luck. If there's actually a goal, maybe it isn't quite clear enough?

I loved this! The way the spells came into play at the end was brilliant. I struggled to read some of the text (the blacksmith's dialogue in particular) since it wasn't bright enough against the black background, but other than that it was extremely fun(ny).

5/5 stars for narration, 1+1=2 is truly the greatest story ever told

When I go back to this I think I'll definitely be adding one or two more colours for the sake of differentiating interactables from scenery (and also tweaking/removing the human-shaped trash cans hahaha). Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Really enjoyed this! The prose was excellent and there was just the right amount of interactivity to keep me hooked. I died the first time and played it over again to get a good ending, which I wouldn't have bothered doing if it wasn't fun to play/read. Stellar work considering it's your first game.

This actually made me feel like I should be kinder to myself/my work, so thank you!

Really handy feedback, thank you! And thank you for playing <3

Thank you!

hahaha I was worried people would mistake the trash cans for characters tbh, I'll have to tweak them! thanks very much for playing!!

Very cool! I enjoyed the combo of random/funky English-sounding place names with the occasional real town.

It's a Binksi game! It's Bipsy (a Bitsy clone) with Ink integration. I'm definitely going to expand the whole thing I think, thank you for the feedback 🙏

Enjoyed this a lot! Are the settlements randomised?

Thanks for playing! <3
