Oh! I want more recipes and stories now!
I thought this used the theme very well and had a great presentation with the way the lines faded in and the call was broken up into sections. If I had one critique, I guess it'd be that I didn't feel like my choices of what to say had much impact on how things unfolded?
Nonetheless, it was a sweet little tale with some great themes. I enjoyed it!

Started with a relatable feeling of trying to help someone who's not used to write with a story. Then it become something so bittersweet, about the ways we try to connect with people, how sometimes gestures are misunderstood... and how we still may appreciate them more than we really remember.
I didn't expect this to get that deep and heartwarming, but honestly? I am happy it did.
A new favorite. I will look for that recipe later.
The recipe story thing is a great framing for a narrative, and once this got going I was very into it. Part of me wishes the intent of the call wasn't revealed until the end, but that would probably make the opening too slow. Great work!
This is lovely, and the reference to those ubiquitous “3,000 words of emotional backstory as preamble to a short recipe” posts is a hilarious hook.
Sweet little emotional story!
