I enjoyed the atmosphere and puzzles! Nice job!

Thank you, Hernyoka!

Very nice! Nothing over the top, and a little under the expected hour (Could use a run option, just for passing through areas again while searching for bits) but I enjoyed it. A few minor collision glitches (There's a couple doorframes that aren't walls on the right side of the door but are on the left), but it is a jam game.

Thank you for finding the time to play The Button Witch! You can run if you hold down the "shift" button, or if you move via mouse (it will be added in the list as soon as we can upload the game, but it already works)

Nice artwork, good sound effect and BGM, I like the puzzle and story, my question is that, why are you guys using ESDF rather than WSAD, just curious, that's all, and, uh, I'm stuck at statue room, I can't solve the puzzle where you have to enter the code to the secret room, can you guys give me a clue?

Developer

Hello,

we had some strange bug with the "W" button so, to make it in time for the Contest, we just decided to switch to ESDF for the time being!

To enter the secret room you have to solve the parchemnt riddle first (try replacing one of the symbols with the number "1"), and then write the 3 digits on the door one after the other, without any extra math.

Let me know if you need any help and thanks for playing!

Sorry, I've tried to solve it but I just can't, thanks for the clue, and it's a good game btw.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I wanted to send you a message with the solution (to avoid spoiling too much here) but I don't know how to DM people in itch.io, is it possible? '^^

Submitted(+1)

I know, that's why I dont ask for the solution just a clue, I want people to play and enjoy it too, so I keep the walkthrough to a minimum. Unfortunately itch haven't got any way to DM, but if you have Discord, you can add me: TheOslaf#4211, I would love to play the game until the end.

I have also been stuck on this for a while now, is there a follow up clue?

I love the game so far and I can't wait to finish it.

First let me say, I love the art in this game. Your maps are so well put together as well. The writing is adorable. Definitely one of my favorites in this contest!

Thank you so much! :)

I really like this! The little witch is cute and the game looks really nice!

PS: I'm stuck after decoding the message in the mailbox.. :( Help?

Developer

Hey Kyattchan,

thank you for playing! Ellen finds the message and says "Do I have to put this somewhere...?" It will match with the plaque and if you read it, you can light up the lamps with magic and solve the puzzle :)

Let me know if that helps!

Ah I see.. I had lighten up all the lamps at the start so I didn't even remember to try that! XD
Thank you! I'm really loving this game! :)
