I can definitely see potential under the hood, the whole aspect of creating troops and attacking is difficult to program so that was a great advancement, I can totally see this being taken further with more time and development! What I played was enjoyable, is true it was easy, maybe putting more limitations would help, and also the sound was very loud, maybe reducing the sound in audacity by editing it might help.

Overall great experience!

A bit too easy but cool it was interesting that you could only place troops in one spot. It could make for an interesting game mechanic for a bigger game.

Developer

Yeah, really wanted to expand it but there was an array/AI issue that cut a lot of time off.

Thanks for playing and feedbak!

Not badly though out idea. Really interesting game mechanic. From this mechanic that you have made for future project either expand towards AI development (making it difficult) or battle placement that is drag and dropping units into the playing field.

Overall gameplay nice and simple to understand, graphics fit the theme, good audio choice.

This is a nice idea and the top down animations are well done using sprite rotation.
The firing sound effects seems realistically in time with the animation which adds to the atmosphere.
You need to add more defenders or less attackers (or longer spawn time) to make it more of a challenge.

A bit to easy, but the idea is great! Would love to have some more reason to choose between soldiers and cannons, because at the moment, it was just to spam-click "whatever". But even so - it was as others have said, oddly satisfying! :D

Developer

Thanks, Robin!

It was difficult balancing the "historically accurate" vs. fun factor. We are definitely taking all ideas into consideration for adding more features!

I have to agree with the other posters, even though it was super short it was very satisfying.

It's very easy and short, but somehow it's super satisfying to just spam out troops and totally dominate lol. I hope you'll expand on the idea for the future. Well done! :)

Thanks. Definitely want to add more.

Really wanted to add a second level with it reversed to include where the Brush attacked the American-controlled fort  2 years later. Had an AI issue and ran out of time after it was resolved.

Very enjoyable game. With a few clicks, I can easily overpower the enemy. Great experience!

Love the main mechanic of the game. Could definitely build on this with more difficulty levels and even including the ability to summon a commander(maybe Ethan Allen?) that raises their stats. I thoroughly  enjoyed it!
