I like the aesthetic of the game, but I found the gameplay somewhat lacking. It seemed almost impossible to save up enough money to hire better writers, while the writers I could afford to hire failed more often than not, usually leading to a slow failure. The gameplay seemed interesting, but I think that the success/failure chances and the skill levels need some balancing. I loved the idea, but it just felt the only way to do well was to get lucky over and over again.

I figured that was the case, but I could never afford good enough writers. Perhaps I was just unlucky, because on my 3 playthroughs my only hiring options on the first day were either less than 60$ or more than 100$, so I could never afford a good writer on the first day, and then could never make enough money to get a better one.
I really dig the aesthetic, and the music suits the game well. I think it’s a shame that RNG has so much to say in winning, because it makes it feel like my decisions are arbitrary. It’s not necessarily too difficult - difficult can be good, but crit fails feel disproportionately likely.
I liked everything about the game, but the RNG was against me haha. I wish there was a way for me to affect the outcome somewhat, feels like im rolling a dice each time and thats all.
Quite a cool game! I loved the sound design and aesthetics, and it was a nice approach to make an UI exclusive game. What was the main challenge when making this game for you?
This game reminded me a lot of "This is the police". Idk why, but I feel like this type of games have a lot of potential. So ultimately if the economy of the game gets balanced it'll be a lot more enjoyable. I could see this game become the next big hit honestly among its own niche. Cheers !
I liked the concept and the art, but the options are not that much
the game values need some tuning to make it more challenging and make the player think a lot about his next move
it is a bit luck based, but with a jam it's kind of the only way. The way your changes are calculated is: percentage chance of winning for
easy - skill level + 20
medium - skill level
hard - 70% of skill level
there's also mediocre chance which is always 10%.
your experience seems, from my playtesting, to be an outlier: i found that i lost every time i clicked randomly and tended to win when i thought about it from playtesting. I'm sorry things didn't work out like that for you and maybe once the jam is finished i'll rework that entire system. thanks for your critique!
i am sorry but i didn't understand this part :

I really liked the art style, and that the news are actually relevant to the time period, only problem is that hiring new people is too difficult, since for most of the time i am trying to keep myself out of debt with the 2 reporters i can get.
But overall, this is pretty cool! Seeing non-agressive games that are still interesting is always nice.
This game is amazing! The graphics and the sounds are really nice, and the gameplay is pretty intuitive, so the Tutorial is not needed (which is a god thing!)
One issue I have is that it's way too difficult, but I had fun playing it!
