There were a lot of small details I picked up  that I liked, such as the balls being able to hit each other (lol), or how the paddle widens every time you clear a block. When the balls touch, I think it would be insane to have a shockwave that clears the blocks around the ball clash! A combo meter would be pretty cool for keeping the paddles wide, as I was sad when they shrunk back to normal size lol. I was a tiny bit confused on how loosing lives works, as I thought I lost it if it hit the bottom too much? I didn't lose a life from it, so it allowed me to progress further in the game. Congrats on your first game! I went through about 10 unfinished projects before I released my first published one.

Thank you for the feedback! I love both of those ideas, a combo counter would fit this game well, and the shockwave idea would be so cool to see. I think the lives system was a bit bugged still, probably because of how I decided to detect the bottom collision sice I didn't use Godot's physics. Thanks again!

Good choice of music and sound effects, also the visual effect when breaking a block is satisfying.

Adding some sort of visual indicator of which paddle is currently being controlled would reduce confusion for the player, perhaps also an indicator for the corresponding ball. Ideally you could just add a glow effect or something, but that wouldn't adhere to the palette restriction, so you could instead add a rectangle and circle around the paddle and ball respectively, or arrows pointing to them.

It's possible for the ball to be stuck bouncing horizontally against the left and right walls, so you could add an exception to prevent this from happening.

Well done, and congratulations on your first released game!

Developer

Thank you for playing! That's a great idea for how to tackle the glow issue! I'll try to implement both of these if I come back to this

Interesting take on the theme and nice execution!
I like how the addition of the floor makes it less challenging since you have to manage two balls, but difficulty still increases. Also quite funny to just let in run by itself for the first level =)

I only had one small glitch where one ball went through the wall and disappeared, but after 20 seconds or so it just returned to the game screen lol

Thank you for the feedback! I was hoping that the menu would have that effect.

I also ran into that bug once after I had already posted it. If I make an updated version, this will be one thing I fix. I'm glad it wasn't too game-breaking. Thanks for playing!

nice concept well executed, i could only manage it if one ball went up and one down else i got confused, skill issues :). also nice calming music and a nice twist on a classic

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

Very satisfying game! It's pretty hard to remember which paddle each hand moves, but I like how you can move the paddles on top of each other. That makes it easier to react, but at the cost of having a single smaller paddle. Good job!

Developer

Thank you! I would definitely add a reminder for the controls in future versions.

Nice game! it is always a pleasure to play this games! And the double paddles was a nice touch, maybe for some people it can be tricky, which is the point! good job!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! Thank you for your feedback!

I think breakout but with two paddles is an awesome concept! If you develop this further, I think it would be cool to have the balls negatively effect the opposite color paddle or something similar, would be a fun challenge. Great job!

Developer

That is an awesome idea! If I continue work on this I will definitely figure out how to implement that. Thanks for playing! :D

Developer

Thank you so much! I felt the exact same way while testing the first few times :D
