Nice shooter game ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ”ซ.

GAMEPLAY
Fun shooter with the nice concept of drawing distortion fields. While intriguing, this feature could be expanded up in an update for an even more enjoyable experience. Maybe some more draw options. That would be fun. The  game can be tough with enemies spawning close by, often outside the screen, maybe help the player with indicator or enemies spawn away from player.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
Nice pixel art style.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
Good background track for the game, though the absence of sound effects for bullet fires, hits, and enemy noises for example are noticeable. Adding these sound elements could significantly enrich the gameplay.

THEME
The theme of broken physics manifests through the distortion fields is checked..but lightly.

All in all, this game serves as a good starting point for something more. Keep on developing and expanding on this promising start ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ‘

The game was simple but very entertaining. Perhaps it would be good to prevent enemies from appearing too close to the player; this happened to me when I was near the edges. Maybe within a certain range, enemies shouldn't spawn. Other than that, I enjoyed it. Congratulations!

Cool game, it feels really smooth for a bullet hell / shoot 'm up type of game. The physics distortion fields feel a little useless though, I get higher scores without using the fields. User experience wise, it would be a cool feature to end the fields when exiting the screen (web GL - so I right clicked outside the screen a lot). Would be cool to have a little more gameplay, fun proof of concept though.

Wow that was a cool concept. I wish the character hit boxes were a bit tighter, but that was a clever idea!

The gameplay is really satisfying, enjoyed it!

Nice game, what is the Newton-theme about though? Is it just for the physics theme or is it something I didn't get?

Developer

Yeah. It's just a wordplay related to physics.

Originally we thought to maybe add a Isaac Newton sprite or Easter egg, but that didn't pan out.

Drawing the lines surprsied me with how smooth and snappy they felt, and it was a fun idea. Made me think about the double slits photon experiments. I seemed to die randomly which wasn't great, but it was a really cool start to something for sure!
