The game is pretty fun to play

Good twist concept idea.

GAMEPLAY
Nice twist on traditional obstacle avoidance games. The mouse controls are quite sensitive, and the hitboxes maybe need some adjustment. Managing both spheres through the obstacles presented a difficult but good challenge.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
Visually okay. An update could benefit from additional visual effects to enhance the gameplay experience.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The background music was enjoyable. Incorporating more sound effects could enhance the game's overall atmosphere.

INNOVATION
It was innovative to control your reflection during the obstacle course, adding a unique layer to the normal avoidance gameplay.

THEME
The theme of isolation was touched upon but wasn't major, though the concept was understandable.

Good job for this jam. Keep it going like this 💪

I like the idea of controlling a character and its mirrored image. It reminds me of some games I used to play on my Game Boy when I was a child. The characters don't really look isolated from each other. It's more like the opposite, they are linked by something that makes them move together! A clear separation in the middle of the screen could have been nice to convey the sense of isolation.

Good Game, Please try our game :)

I liked the song a lot, wish it was playing continuously throughout. I felt like the hitboxes weren’t consistent or something, it was pretty difficult to get far at all. I think some time theming the UI would’ve been nice. Still, a cool idea though!

I like the title screen a lot with the balls in the title, and the core gameplay is cool enough to have to get used to but still interesting. I think visually being able to see the separation would help as there would be times I'm not sure how close they can get and end up getting hit, as well as the hitboxes for some of the obstacles not being very clear. Also there were times when you simply cannot avoid running into an obstacle because of the spawn positioning. Got a high score of 700!

Preface

The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.

This game is infinite. It can't be finished.

Gameplay/Fun

The gameplay is shallow. The ships' colliders are unfair. The balls could've used less inertia. Speaking of, why are the player characters balls? Why not other spaceships?

Art Style/Visuals

They're fine, but the powerups and text clash with everything else. The ship designs are cool, though.

Audio/Sound

It's just one song, and it's a genre that I don't like.

Innovation

It's an interesting spin on the "avoid everything" archetype of games.

Theme

There's little adherence to the theme with the two characters being isolated from each other.

Verdict: It's mid.

RATING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Interesting core mechanic and control scheme. It feels like there is a high degree of mastery that is possible. Nice work!

In terms of feedback my only suggestion would be to consider keyboard inputs, mouse sensitivity can vary pretty wildly and that meant that I could be controlling the game while my mouse had drifted to another monitor.

Great entry.

innovation-wise , I think the game is good, maybe the controls should have less innercia tho and I don't see why you can't just use normal buttons to play too. I really like the concept tho, well done!
