Hi, dude, I thought you might like to see the design I did based on yours, I uploaded on Deviant and I gave you some credit: https://www.deviantart.com/jampleyart/art/S-Player-1-Strip2-1047090613

it does not show up in the control panel. Ok, this is hard to explain: I just realize that what I deleted was not the game exactly, but a file with the name of your game that doesn´t contain your game. I have deleted the file many times on different occasions, but it always comes back on my desk. And something very weird is that it contain the files of other programs of my computer, like a PS2 emulator. I found it really strange when I found it that the save files of Emulator were deleted several times with no explanation, and it turned out that I deleted them by deleting the file with the game of your game.
I got busy and only had like day and a half to make the game xd. I'm not sure I´ll add the jump in the future, but I might, I already thought a jump might be good, but I didn´t have time to test take. I wanted to add some power-ups. And yes, the graphics aren´t the best and it needs a background, you totally right. Thank you for playing.
Thank you for playing and thank you for the feedback. Oh, yes, the game was made to be played with both a mouse and a keyboard, I have never tried it with a trackpad, I'm not even sure it's possible to make a good control skin that works with a trackpad. Also, The idea of the yellow and white bullets is that you have to combine them to optimize the damage and also that you can keep shooting while charging because I don't like to stop shooting to charge. However, some people find the white bullet not that useful, so I guess I have to tweak it. Oh, and the browser versions looks weird and you see white things poping up and down, Idk how to fix it.
In the menu, you can select the option "how to play" and it tells you the controls, alternatively you can press the pause button and it shows you the controls too. Only tells you the controls for the mouse and keyboard tho. Also, in the level select, you can test the controls before playing.
Btw, you can disable audio and change your character's colors on the "options" too.
I like your game, it reminds me of Vector, and I ended up playing it for like an hour xd. I think the level design is pretty good, at first I thought it was too simple, but the more I played it, the more I realized how many small things you can do to optimize your runs. The only things that I would add are: more levels (thats very obvious, I think); make it so you can hold the run to run button before the game starts, as it is right now, you have to hold it after the game starts so your character runs, and that's not ideal, I think. Also, new obstacles and mechanics, but I don't think you have to do anything fancy, I like the simplicity, but that's just me.
I don't care, they don't believe me, I got to the end and I saw UFO. I would like an endless mode and multiple endings, for example I tried to bomb the last floor and that didn't do anything, but I was like, if there is a secrete last floor here, I'm going to lose it xd. great game, I don't usually play stuff like this, but I kind of lost track of time.
Ok, the best game of the jam is terms of Era feel, in my opinion. regardless of what many people say, one of the worst aspects of old games is how unfair they are and how they just tell you fuck you and start the game all over again because you suck at this. To be honest, I think this game is more fair, and it's very good, but I don't think I will finish the game, I got the the temple's boss, lost, and I was took back to the beginning. Maybe that was the last level or I was close to beating it, idk. I still think it's an amazing entry tho.
hahaha I forgot to fix that, I think you played the browser version, I had a hard time making that version. I took out the full screen option from the browser version because it doesn't work there, Itch.io has a option for that, but I forgot to stop the "hat" from going down, sorry there was not a secret option xd, but now you know what it was supposed to be.
Thank you, I'll definitely add more stuff later once the jam is over, I'm actually working onit now, I have a lot I want to do.
You don't get any rewards for saving coins sorry xd, but you can keep them once you beat the game and use them in another playthrough(you lose them all if you close the game tho, no save system xd). Also I'm curious: did you find any of the coins and hearts hidden in rocks that you can break with coins? Or did you find the two parts where you can skip fighting with enemies by jumping on top of the walls?
