How does your game fit the theme?
I am isolated in Dante's Inferno because I am an angel tasked with clearing the way for the Apocalypse by killing souls. As an angel, I am not meant to be among the living and my presence is not welcome in the mortal realm.

But what's worse, I've lost connection with Virgil, my guide through the underworld, when we entered the elevator that takes us to the various levels of Hell. Now, I'm isolated and unaccompanied, forced to face the horrors of Inferno without the guidance and support of my trusted companion.

The darkness and despair that surrounds me only serve to heighten my sense of isolation and disconnection from the world above. I am left to navigate the treacherous underworld on my own, relying solely on my own strength and determination to fulfill my duty and clear a path for the Apocalypse.

Played and rated!

Overall liked the design of the game, it was an interesting camera angle and gameplay progressively got harder.

The dialogue audio bothered me, as there's only 1 sound looping, and I would have liked to have E to finish the sentence instead of skipping so I could read without waiting. The game audio could be improved in some ways.
When getting to the boss, the controls were still frozen so it was not playable which is unfortunate.
One big improvement I see is having a sort of visual cursor at your mouse position where you're aiming, it would make aiming much more intuitive and fun. I didn't know where I was aiming at without having to look back at my character.

Well done for this game, some improvements to make the game more enjoyable but it was an interesting concept and experience 😄

Would appreciate if you check out and rate our game as well:

GAMEPLAY
Fun to play with a variety of enemies and a boss fight, which is always a highlight. Mouse shooting was effective, though an aiming feature would enhance this. The boss fight had an issue where it stopped working unfortunately. The text skipping feature could be improved by filling the text box before moving on.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The angel was nice designed with the flapping wings. Self made art is always nice.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The sound effectively matched the game's atmosphere and action, enhancing the experience.

INNOVATION
The game was not particularly innovative but provided a solid gameplay experience.

THEME
The theme was only very lightly touched upon, without deep integration into the gameplay.

Overall, a fun game to play. Good base experience for further game projects. 💪

As others have said I was also unable to move or shoot in the boss room. I like the core gameplay a lot though, I'm a big fan of twin stick shooters but I think it would be nice if you had a cursor when being played with a mouse, aiming was difficult without one. I also think the text speed could be a little faster, or if you could load all the text with E instead of immediately going to the next line of dialogue. Finally I liked the music, but the main theme in the arena is a little short and sort of faded into the backgrounded after a few loops, and in the boss fight I could hear the song from the beginning of the game playing as well as the boss theme.

That was good! The sprites and animations are great. Unfortunately, I couldn't move anymore when I reached the boss so I couldn't get further. I think it would be nice to still be able to see the mouse cursor because hiding it makes it so much harder to aim. Otherwise the gameplay is very fun :)

I appreciated being able to fast forward dialogue, in theory, but it just skipped it instead meaning I missed basically all the story. The arena is pretty easy but was fine, then it bugged out at the boss fight and stopped accepting input.

There’s definitely some neat ideas here, appreciate the different enemies even if I didn’t understand why I was shooting at people holding a white flag?

Still overall it was a really solid jam entry I think :)

I liked the gameplay of the game and I'm a big fan of arena games. The only criticisms I have is that the audio can be too much too fast and especially the dialogue noise got a  bit on my nerves. I really wish I could press E once to skip the typewriter effect and then again to go to the next text box.

I liked the design of the angel, and the gameplay is very fun and easy, you could have added more obstacle before the final boss and of course the music was fire! Only thing that bothered me was the sound effect of the dialogue, it should be more fast ou something!

Not bad. I couldn’t stand the Virgil’s dialogue audio though and my angel stopped responding to my keyboard input when I entered the boss stage.

I really like how you eased into the game mechanics whilst providing story for the player.

Damn that was good! I like how the game feels, especially the camera on movement, could work on the art tho
