Game Description
This is a puzzle platformer where the rules of the game change every level. Making mistakes is inevitable, so reflect on them to figure out how to beat the level.
How does your game tie into the theme?
The rules are changed every level and the player knows nothing. When they die and make mistakes, they learn something new and need to reflect on learned rules to complete the level.

I had a lot of fun playing this entry! I love the art style as well, great game my dude
Nice puzzle game :D
The "jump to push" mechanic was interesting, since it opens up a series of problems by itself, although I would try to make it more consistent to avoid random mistakes due to the fact that an object get pushed or pushed too much.
Other than that the pacing is done really well and the game could be widened to create an interesting complex series of mechanics.
Well done!
I can't remember the game name but this reminds me of some old flash games I'd play on school computers. It does a fine job of giving appropriate hints to spare from some of the major guess work for what each object does, though there were a few levels that felt a little too random in what the goal was.
Overall though this is impressive and quite polished, the only real complaint will be a copy of Arctia's comment about the text stating a rule does go by a little too fast.
Solid work on this game, this one rocks! Great job!
Nice submission! I liked the art and polish of the animations, but I wasn't a big fan of die to learn. Dunno if it is only me but red/green notes go behind the scene too quickly and I can't read them. In the end I really liked how all tie together, keep it up!
I was trying to make the deaths and transitions quick to keep the flow and not waste time, but I should have focused more on accessibility. Lesson learned!
Nice and simple art style, I like it! I feel like the main mechanic could be or altered a bit, because it does feel a little too trial and error-y. It could also be explored further with a wider range of mechanic changes. Like for example maybe in one level the gravity changes or something. Otherwise, I enjoyed playing this one!
I agree! I wish I had time to figure out a way to make dying over and over more bearable. Thanks for the feedback :)
I liked the 'jump to push' mechanic. It was really satisfying to use in that one level where you have to push the door past the boxes
it's really cursed but really fun ! x) I got fooled several times by the level design. great stuff, congrats !
Good stuff! I like how you managed to put together a whole set of levels with progressing complexity. I could see a bigger version of this concept where some rules stay consistent for a bit (but still unintuitive) so that each level can build on concepts rather than being trial and error to see what has changed. Well done!
I appreciated the unique take on the theme, and the platforming felt well-tuned. The jumping into objects to push them further is a mechanic I haven't seen before but I quite like. Good work!
The jumping into objects was actually a bug, but I liked it so I kept it as a feature. Funny how it works out sometimes lol
So weird running into spikes to finish a level, haha. I liked it!
People ask what are the rules but not how are the rules...
As for what rules, I could safely say that this game does!
Love the approach of having to figure the rule of each level out as you play. It's a bit funny to see my character having to touch something that should instinctively be deadly to win a level.
Awesome work!
Good job, I like it!
WOW
Really sick work, love that black sliding transition between scenes. Great work with the hitboxes on the spikes, felt very accurate. I can tell you tested the jump and movement feel a lot - it’s floaty but not too much. Great work!
Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep it in mind for other projects :)
