Yes, its subtle, but the mimics breath (change size) while the good ones go up and down.

Last level was a bit tricky, but I got through! Had fun with this one. Music was nice too.

I am happy you enjoyed it! :)

Glad you enjoyed it!

Awesome game! Love the multiple endings! Great spin on "Papers Please" (or at least that's what it reminded me of). Cool shift in tone at the end... Good job for a first time jam.

Very good art style. I liked the gameplay, a bit difficult at first learning the buttons, but after a minute you get used to it and start doing tricks. I had fun with this one, great job! (really like the details of the menu screen of the guy smoking, and checking his watch, haha nice touch!)

Great artwork here. I found it challenging but in a good way. It needs a restart button to retry. I had fun with it :)

Clever game! I enjoyed that.

Thanks for the feedback , glad you enjoyed it. Yeah , that's a great idea, I probably could have made a small stage teaching that aspect... Oh well.

Fun and simple! A bit challenging though, but it kept me hooked. Nice level design.

That's too bad... I will have to test it out myself and see what happens...

Thank you ! I am glad you enjoyed it!

Great pixel art here! Cool concept of revealing items underneath. I liked the transparency effects, and the interesting items to uncover the items. Nice work!

Haha this is fun! Gets intense when the geese arrive haha, I literally yelled "not the birds!"

Cool concept on the theme! I like the graphics and cool level design, had a fun playing with it!

I like the cute animations! Fun. I found it frustrating not being able to go full screen, had to constantly scroll to find the baddies. But other than that good job!

Excellent game! Very thought provoking... very cool interpretation of the theme...

Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!

Great game! I like the decision making, I got a bit too greedy and died haha.

I like how fun this is! The later levels are really good, I like how you have to keep moving... :)

Had lots of fun with this one! Great job. I like the pixel art, ambience, and the puzzles were fun!

Excellent game! The reflection platforming was a great idea!

I only have one criticism, and that is the hit boxes; they could have been a little smaller. Felt unfair when you barely touched the red orbs and died, but all in all, I had fun playing it! :)

I enjoyed this so much... good puzzles!

So weird running into spikes to finish a level, haha. I liked it!

Love the style! Sorta reminds me of those old dos games experimenting with 3d.

As for the gameplay, I found it difficult gauging the angle and found myself undoing a lot to get it just right. All and all though, the core mechanic is great!

Hi , thanks for the feedback! I agree about the mirrors… something I should have done is shown guide lines but didn’t have time to implement. And I did notice how annoying it was when I was testing… definitely needs improvement… :)

Thanks for the feedback! It was a cool learning process and I am looking forward to doing more jams in the future. :)

thanks :)

thanks for the feedback! Yeah when I was testing it, I had some problems with the beam too. And I agree the, tedious aspects definitely needed to be optimized, but I will learn from this and grow.

Cool concept! Simple but really fun and creepy....

This is great! The transition to the dark side is cool.

Fun game! Cool concept.

sorry about that, I updated the post.

I just finished a short demo of my first horror game. This is the first section, which is about sound. Your footsteps can be heard and you must sneak to avoid detection. I was inspired by games like "The Clock Tower" and "Perishment" and wanted to try out the horror genre. This was made in the Godot 4.1 engine, with art I created in Aesprite and sounds used from freesound.org . I also made some music and sound effects with Bosca Celoil and Audacity. Hope you enjoy it!

I think the pixel art is nice. But this zoomed in view gives the player no time to see what's ahead.

For the dialogue, you should implement a key press for each box, so we can read it before it disappears.

A sword swishing sound, and clang would be good here too. To give more feedback to the player that they are swinging the sword.

I am happy to release my project that I have been working on for 10 months now.  A fast paced horizontal space shooter. But... you can flip your ship and shoot both ways. You also have a laser that acts like a sword, slicing through energy orbs! 6 stages of action, 6 unique bosses to conquer! Check out the link below...

Thanks!

Nice! Fun retro shmup!

Nice balance of enemies, enjoyable little game!

Hi all,

I've added some new things....

I created a cool warning animation that plays before boss fights. The glow effect in Godot makes it really pop. In an addition to this warning animation, I put in a checkpoint to save BEFORE the boss, so now you don't get sent back to the beginning of the stage...

I also added a Module Upgrade, that spawns 2 rotating turrets that shoot ball projectiles.

After I make all the changes to my Save system, I will continue tweaking the stages, and working on new ones...
