Yes, its subtle, but the mimics breath (change size) while the good ones go up and down.

I just finished a short demo of my first horror game. This is the first section, which is about sound. Your footsteps can be heard and you must sneak to avoid detection. I was inspired by games like "The Clock Tower" and "Perishment" and wanted to try out the horror genre. This was made in the Godot 4.1 engine, with art I created in Aesprite and sounds used from freesound.org . I also made some music and sound effects with Bosca Celoil and Audacity. Hope you enjoy it!

I think the pixel art is nice. But this zoomed in view gives the player no time to see what's ahead.
For the dialogue, you should implement a key press for each box, so we can read it before it disappears.
A sword swishing sound, and clang would be good here too. To give more feedback to the player that they are swinging the sword.
I am happy to release my project that I have been working on for 10 months now. A fast paced horizontal space shooter. But... you can flip your ship and shoot both ways. You also have a laser that acts like a sword, slicing through energy orbs! 6 stages of action, 6 unique bosses to conquer! Check out the link below...
https://jdmay.itch.io/solar-ember-rushHi all,
I've added some new things....
I created a cool warning animation that plays before boss fights. The glow effect in Godot makes it really pop. In an addition to this warning animation, I put in a checkpoint to save BEFORE the boss, so now you don't get sent back to the beginning of the stage...
I also added a Module Upgrade, that spawns 2 rotating turrets that shoot ball projectiles.

After I make all the changes to my Save system, I will continue tweaking the stages, and working on new ones...
