You're a witch and just bought a crumbling mansion. Time to sell some demons to earn enough money to repair it !
How does your game tie into the theme?
You're summoning demons in a broken/haunted mansion. The fact the mansion is haunted makes you able to summon these.

There were some confusing elements, but once I figured things out I enjoyed my time. I agree with some of the comments that the gameplay began to feel repetitive and one of the summons blocked the name out so I can't be sure what it was
The art style here is just... so good, I love it. Every time the door opened I kept hoping they were going to be a character I hadn't seen, because I love them all. My favorite is cloud person (name proposal: Skye).
The game itself could use some polish, though. In particular the flow of having a new customer come in is a bit tedious, it's a lot of clicking on small buttons that are far away from one another. You have to: advance the conversation to see what they want, switch to the summoning view, then once you've dragged in the ingredients (which controls pretty well) you then click the summon button, then click the present button on the other side of the screen, then advance the conversation one last time... It's kind of a lot when one recipe, once in the summoning view, takes just a few seconds to enter if you know it already. All that is to say, as a relatively small gripe, the game could flow better.
Also I wasn't able to finish the game because I ran into a bug where no more customers would come in on day 4 :( I really wanted to finish it, a real shame.
Aside from this, the idea of the game itself is pretty good. There's an element of shop-keeping and management, although that's relatively simple, but also this element of discovery of creatures to summon. You're given these wonderfully vague hints about how to make the variants of each summon and that's just excellent, bravo. I'd love to see this game get a coat of polish, plus a new mechanic or two (maybe a money system where you actually repair your house piece by piece?). Great job!
love the name and love you!111 😊😊😊😁

I am in love with your art style, especially the two MS paint customers - made me feel like I was going to a Porter Robinson concert lol
OMG HI THANKS DUDE UR GAME IS PEAK I LOVE IT <333
I love how some people had the MS Paint as an edge, all the custom art was really well done with the style!
Hey, thank you very much for playing our game ! :D

Very well done, congratulations to what is for most of you your first jam game. I really like the idea and the gameplay of combining all these elements, trying to figure out how to make each advanced version of the demons.
I agree with the suggestion, that time should be paused while you are browing the book, because it feels good to read the well-written stuff, but not so much if you get punished for it. Also, the poltergeist sprite overlaps with it's title so I could only hope that is what I created, because I could not read it.
While you are displaying the text at the end of the day, you should block the main loop interactions, because I could still finish my last creation while looking at it (I guess that's an achievement by itself) and it was counted for the next day. Or maybe I misunderstood that, but I know that I could still interact, I heard all the sfx.
When the guy with the menu still attached walked in, I had a legit chuckle...
Thank you very much for playing our game. Loving the feedback here, maybe I'll tweekz some things after the jam ends :3. Glad you enjoyed it, made my day!
An excellent entry! I love the art style and I'm a sucker for storefront games (e.g. Potion Craft). All the elements of the game seemed pretty unique and the summoning circle style of "crafting" is something I haven't seen before.
I do think the timer punished me a bit in the beginning for reading the flavor text, so I'd like to suggest maybe pausing it while the book is up. Most of my time was spent trying to figure out the combinations after reading the entries anyway.
Woaw thank you very much ! It is a tough choice for the book, making it so it pauses the game could allow for some cheesy playthrough, when you can try to figure out what the recipe is during the pause. I'm very glad you liked the game, thank you again for playing and leaving a feedback. <3
Ok, the game is very very rough around the edges, had problems sometimes to grab the items... BUT maybe that was because of one of the wildcards? idk
I like the artstyle, even the not "correctly" cut out paper characters. and the overall visuals are mostly good.
The music and sounds are good too.
took me a few moments to understand what exactly i had to do, but than I served 5 happy customers :)
I think there might be a cool game hidden behind "not enough polish", because the base idea and mechanic etc. seems to be cool and fun.
Would have loved if the UI was a little bit more responsive, with some highlighting of the buttons and usuable items. Maybe a few more sounds for the "monster creation process"
Well done!
Thank you very much for you feedback. If I can motivate myself, I'll try to polish it some more after the jam ends, so, thanks again for taking the time to write this, glad you liked it!
I like the art style, even though there are too many objects that seems clickable but actually aren't.
The gameplay is a little repetitive on the long run, if there were less days or something new after the first couple I would have prefered, but in the beginning I really enjoyed figure it out which ingredient are needed to summon monsters
Thanks a lot for playing and leaving feedback, much appreciated. :D
Interesting idea! I like the artwork! The button to advance was a bit small/ it would have been nice to have a hotkey. I was a bit confused at first which parts were clickable. Also when putting things in the center of the summoning circle, they didn't do anything, but on the outside of it things they did work.
Overall relatively easy to understand, and very unique idea!
This has a ton of soul to it and is a fun take on the shopkeeper genre. Lovely work! Would have liked a bit more discovery to the recipes, maybe have the player guess ingredients based on the requested summon, what they customer says, or other context clues. Nice work!
Thank you very much. Our art team was very talented! I love your feedback, maybe I'll tweek the game after the jam ends. The third button was supposed to be something like that but we couldn't get it done ahah. Glad you liked it, thanks for playing our game. <3
Yeahh-- We really overscoped on this one orinigally ahaha- I rlly liked your game too !!
The art is cool and the gameplay is pretty fun (especially before you know all the receptures)
I'm glad you liked it, thank you for your words!
Great Job. Love the Art.
Thank you very much. <3
