That was a nice simple arcade game! I had a good amount of fun running around the rats grabbing the camera batteries.

Well done with the sound and textures, it gave it a fun and energetic feeling!

Really cool game! I love the blocky art style, it feels really unique. The mechanics are simple but fun and I think limiting rounds to 1 minute was a good choice to keep players wanting to beat their score. I'm personally not a fan of the fixed camera perspective as I found it hard to know where in space I was, especially relative to the rats, but that's just my preference. Really nice job!

I was able to play on browser (Chrome). I liked how the concept was simple but fun. I wasn't a big fan on the flash startup, and how I would still use up a battery if I got hit before the flash went off. But overall, I thought it came together pretty well.

Nice game, I like the camera POV. One thing I’d add is a simple CRT shader to make it look even more like it’s from a camera.

P.S. During one of the game starts, I spawned inside some crates and couldn’t move :)

Unable to play in browser. Console is full of errors. Tested in multiple browsers. Please talk with JAM team and upload Win/Mac versions.

Unfortunate, sorry to hear! I'll see what can be done and will let you know.

OH MY GOOOOOOD. Really? The game probably worked all the time but the menu on the side is so small that I could not see it. I was wondering why nothing reacted ... because the game didn't start. This is how I see it on a 4K screen zoomed to 2K (Retina). I kinda read the controls, the menu looked like some stats, it was so small that I just ignored the rest.

Next time look into Display settings for "Window Width Override", "Window Height Override" and "Stretch Mode".

Developer

Damn...! We did test the scaling but since we didn't have hi-res screens there was no way to encounter this. Stretch mode ought to fix that (ended up being disabled it seems).

At least you got to somewhat play it in the end :D

At first I had an error but after a few reloads it seemed to go away on its own… was not just this game but every game that I was looking at, at the time…

I personally found the controls to be a bit difficult to use, and like surgeon simulator it added to the game play more than distracted from it. The rat laugh / sound is adorable!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Were the errors critical? During our tests the game was playable, not error free but playable.

I was able to play!

I really feel like the errors were on itch or my browser and not the game… I mostly wanted anyone else that ran into loading issues know that refreshing a few times seemed to fix things for me
