The starships were well-drawn, and the explosion sound was nice and crunchy. Congratulations on making another demo!
Thanks.!
I had problems to play it. Your sizing settings were probably not tested properly for large monitors and retina/zoom settings. I have a 4K monitor set to 2K (Retina, Mac) and this is how it looked.
You should probably check these settings.
Thanks for the tip, yeah, I didn't take into account for large monitors when developing as I'm still trying to familiarize with Godot.
To improve the game without adding complexity in code you could add more randomness in spawn position, it could be really nice as we can stay at the same spot pressing Z indefinitly. Well done !
Thanks.!
Great start to a classic space shoot’em up, with background music and a little more variety this could be a solid game. The enemy moved a bit fast for my taste but they were not so fast that it was impossible to hit them.
Thanks.!
Some music and different waves would help, but I think you did a good job :)
Thanks.!
seems little repetative. maybe add different enemies and environments and guns and bullets and so on and it is a good bullet-hell game or something. Good job for a jam though!
I got out of bounds by flying forwards of the screen and to the left or right.
like pdil said, maybe add space-key as shooting button or just make it autoshoot constantly as I was just helding the button down all time.
You can add little variety to the bullet shoot sound by lowering the pitch randomly by small degree.
Thanks for the input. Need to polish more on my skills.
I'm a sucker classic shmups. It was crazy fast but played well. I would have appreciated rebindable controls, or at the very least additional bindings like fire on spacebar because my ergonomic keyboard makes arrows nearly impossible to use and WASD + Z is very awkward.
Thanks, will take note on that, I'm just slowly learning Godot 4.
