Wow, the art was awesome! And I loved the jokes from each monster! I was always struggling with unpleasant, how much abomination was it?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing our game!

Pleasant is 0, unpleasant is 1. Sorry it's not obvious :)

It's cool choice of a game for a jam. You got to put a bit of "narrative" in it, not just mechanics. Very nice graphics also!

Thank you for your kind words!

I loved the dialogue, visuals and tutorial. I think I messed up the gameplay part, I got an early reset (first ghost) which I think was a bug. Then I failed almost every order until I had no money. It still let me go through everything and read all the awesome dialogue and see every monster. Gameplay also has potential, I laughed trying to understand the cthulhu order (and I aced it lol).

Thanks for the feedback!)

As a Va-11 Hall-A lover I would too love this one! The pixel art is amazing and the dialogs fun. I liked the idea of the orders being color coded but it was still hard to see if it was getting it right, maybe pumping up the saturation on the meters can help.

Developer

You guessed it, we were partly inspired by this game :) There really are problems in the gameplay that we have to solve. Thanks for the feedback!

Good art, original and fun to play, I don't have much to say is just a really solid game.

Thank you!)

Amazing production! I truly loved the art direction (visuals and sounds). The dialogues were also really nice!

I had to restart 3 times in order to complete the game, I think the difficulty is just on point! I will say the only flaw I see is that it is a bit confusing with the colors related to the scale. There is also a happy emote popping while you’re mixing the cocktail, so I thought it was meant to indicate that you reached perfect mixture but it doesn’t seem so.

Overall, great game, one of my favorite of the jam. Congrats! :)

Sorry, there's a problem with the game at the moment. Hopefully, it will be possible to fix it.

Everything is fine now! :)

Needless to say the art department was sublime. I love the pixel art. The feeling of the bar was great, the animations, the characters that came and went. Visually this game is delicious.

While the art was great, the game gets a bit repetitive. Sometimes it's confusing to know what to feed the clients, especially when a monsters speaking an alien language arrives at the bar :D I know the colours of the letters have meaning, but for a jam I'd make that clear enough that in the first run you know what do do, sort of.

The drag and drop I see I could have used right click so I won't mention anything there since you added a single button to buy, good thing.

There are a lot of combinations and ingredientes, maybe adding a few different sprites for the results would have been nice. Like 3 or 4 depending on the ratio of the strength and disgustingness.

The game is very original, it's an approach I haven't seen yet in this jam, so very cool!

Keep the good work!

We really wanted to add different drinks, but we didn't have time to add them to the final build. I agree with the comments on the gameplay, thank you so much for such a detailed review! And for kind words)

Great game! I absolutely love how it looks, the pixel art is very detailed and fantastic. There's also some nice music to top off the very chill atmosphere. I also really liked the resource management aspect where you have to decide what to buy, and how to make an order without wasting everything. I ended up playing 2 runs, with my first ending at some spider dude, and the second getting to the end. I do have a couple of problems with how the game played:

  • My main problem is that it's pretty repetitive. The main gameplay loop is that you use your ingredients to get 2 different bars to specific spots. The problem with this is that there's not much variation in this loop. There's some extra ingredients involved, but with the game's short length, they don't matter much, and even if it was longer, there's not anything else done with it. This also goes between runs, where every run has the exact same people come in the same order and order the exact same colors every time, making it a bit of a chore to have to redo everything just to get a different ending, which is why I ended up not going for all 3.
  • I'm not sure if this was intended, but the colors that the customers order look very similar, making it a little hard to distinguish between some of the closer ones, especially for someone that's colorblind.
  • There's no real way to undo anything. If you put the wrong ingredient in or you realize afterwards that you didn't need it, there's no way to go back. It's not a problem I've encountered, so it's not really that bad of an issue, but it's just some food for thought.

Overall, while there was some issues with repetitiveness, it was pretty fun and looked very good. Great job!

This game was WILD! I love your cover art with the instagrm beholder! Whoever did the sprites for this games is on a whole other level of talent I've never even seen before! The gameplay and dialog were also stupendous! Loved the use of effects on the text to show how customers wanted their drink, and other bits of personality (cuthulu anybody???). The meters and drink mixing were fun and intuitive as well. I've only got three things that could be improved:

  1. Buying things from the seller was a bit annoying to click and drag.
  2. I lost cause I ran out of ingredients a customer wanted
  3. It wasn't always clear if I had gotten the levels right on the bar D:

Bravo! This game is INCREDIBLE!
Keep making games!

Just a quick tip buy you can right click to buy things instead of just clicking and dragging, it's mentioned in the description of the game, iirc

Going to come back to this one then!
