Very cute! It has a real retro feeling and enjoyable gameplay. The different styles in pixel art look a bit odd, that's something i would work on, if you continue to make this game.

Thank you! Is the difference you're referring to the black outlines for some things but not others, the dithering in the trees, or something else entirely? As you probably noticed, I'm pretty new to pixel art, so any advice would be appreciated.

This is like being sent back in time and getting to play some new arcade game. I really really like this game, but I can't really say it follows the theme all that well - since there is only one poison to attack with.

Regardless, this is my favorite type of game and I had a huge grin on my face the entire time while playing. Thank you for this.

Thanks so much for the positive feedback, I'm really glad you enjoyed the game. For the theme, I was going for a play on words: "pick" your poison, like fruit from a tree, rather than choose from a set.  I'm hoping to polish the game a bit more and perhaps add some more levels post-jam, so if you like it you should have more to look forward to. Thanks again!

Aaaah.. to literally "pick" your poison! I get it. I'll adjust my score for the theme.
