What a cool concept

It's by far one of the most original entry in the jam, that's for sure. I think that the main things that would have tied it together could have been some crazy sounds effects and some other over the top visual effects. I loved the "live TV" overlay, but since it was in pixel art it was a bit too different from the rest of game.

If you can improve on the techincal side, the strange-ironic part is already in its right place. Good job!

Thank you for the support!
Great Idea! Fleshing out the visual effects and sound would really bring the game to another level.
I really want to get to know Godot better until next time to make that possible :)

OSX works now!

A bunch of Steve Jobs clones of the Apple Inc. resistance! LOL nice crowd control and the live news atmosphere, and love the Paperboy style presentation, hope the riot soldiers exert some more challenge against the crowd though

Thank you for commenting!
Great to hear confirmation of the OSX working.
The riot soldiers are indeed on the weak side. With a more fleshed out compat system they whould definately gotten som uppgrades :)

The Linux version works now :)

This is a fun little game!  I do have a few comments and bits of constructive critisism though.

* The big red bars at the top and bottom are kinda distracting and take up a pretty big portion of the screen.

* You could have put the controls in that opening text.  Saying "click to move" actually takes up less space than "controls in description"  :P

* The pixel art looked really nice!  Making the people who haven't joined you a little dimmer felt like just the right amount of differentiation.

* No sounds makes me do a sad :'(

Developer

Thanks for playing! And thank you for the feedback :)

*The red bars do take up alot of space. It does hopefully add to the atmosphere but as it is I agree that it should either get more functionality or get smaller.

*Woah, you're right haha. I'll do that next time.

*Thanks! It took alot of time and effort, glad you enjoyed it :)

*Me too, fren, me too :(

Can confirm the windows version now works, though I had trouble with the web version. Glad to see a happy ending!

Developer

Glad to hear it!
Thank you for the confirmation :)

Very satisfying getting to the end. I also generally enjoyed the idea behind it, even if it's a bit tongue-in-cheek compared to things that are actually happening right now.

Thanks!

Yeah hopefully the silly tone came through as it's no harm ment.

Congrats on finishing the game! It's an interesting game concept. :-)

However, there seem to be some problems with the uploads, that make getting the game to run kinda tricky! The web version doesn't seem to work for me, and the Windows and Linux downloads are just the binary files, they're missing the .pck file with the actual data. But the MacOS version DOES have the .pck file, so I managed to play it by getting the .pck from there and combining it with the Linux Godot binary.

Thanks for playing it!
Oh, I did not know that. I'll fix it asap. Thanks! (Should now be fixed :-) )
