It was a nice experience, I liked it. The skeletons were bloody terrifying. The minion seemed a bit underwhelming.

A dash skill that lets you move faster for a short period of time would go a long way, as it would invoke the feeling of running away from danger.

This game felt way too slow for me. The text scrolling was slow, the walk speed was slow, the screen transitions were slow. I don't think it would ruin the atmosphere to have a button that skips some of this while still letting you read the dialogue text.

Sweet color palette and aesthetics :D

When I saw those big skeletons I was thinking oh no, a soulslike game

Very good looking game! The shadow monsters seem to wander randomly until they get near you and then follow you? Maybe the game mechanic could have been a bit more interesting if you sometimes had to pass to longer parts of shadow and you could shake the monsters by going back in the light or so. But all in all really impressive for such a short time period!

Was there a chicken sound in the end? I did not see it.

Oh; and also really liked how you incorporated the limited pallet!

Yes! the monsters wander randomly, but only in a small region. When you go in the shadow, their region move toward you. With more time I would have added a visual cue and a few more mechanics like pushable / moving light.

There is a 'secret' ending for the chicken in the last level :P

What... I was not expecting such atmosphere from a jam game! Super cool. Played it over and over just for the shivers.
