Kinda confusing at the start , but overall pretty good.

In deed a creative idea. I had trouble understanding how to play it, but I think you have a very interesting project!

Very intersting game. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. It clicked with me on the last level. I think I planning level better than the reactive stages. Very good entry.

Very cool idea and really nice game. I am personally fun of the strategic mode. If you want some feedback, it would be nice if highlighting the path also highlighted the two nodes it connects (there are sometimes paths going through the nodes and then it is not very readable) Also some nice and dynamic sound effects would really emphasize the gameplay. Thanks for the game!

Developer(+1)

Yup, if I refine this any after the judging is over, outlining the paths always is top of the list :)

Thank you very much!

That's a pretty fun idea! Gotta say that Level 4 felt a lot better and less random than the previous ones!

Developer(+1)

I agree :) Thank you!

So many options!  I liked the creativity here both in the game and for the player.  Nice work!

Thank you so much!

I really like the concept and the execution! Unfortunately the links were hard for me to see and click on without accidentally hitting a neighbor. Maybe a planning phase were you can uncover links that are under others would be cool. Personally I might like the whole gameplay split into plan-watch, instead of real-time... but that's not for everyone!

Hey, thanks so much! And, please, try level 4 or "strategic mode" in the custom settings if you haven't already!

Excellent! I hadn't gotten that far the first time around :)

Very cool idea! I found a bit confusing what I was supposed to do, however.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

I do feel like the tutorial page could be improved (or you know, be an actual level rather than just a page, but I did not have the time for that in the end).

Even though the submission deadline is past, I would gladly accept suggestions on how to show/explain the gameplay better.

I'd say that, besides a lacking tutorial,  there's not enough time to process what's happening: a data packet comes out, pings around a bit, and then the next packet comes before you have even process what's happened or formulated a strategy.

I hear you, yeah.

If nothing else, I should probably have given the first level more time. One playtester actually commented that the game was way too easy (on a previous version with different times/goals), which surprised me, but that's why the goals are what they are now.

(Slowing the actual movement down is not possible with the method I'm currently using.)

But... this is why I hope people go to the custom level settings. Level 1-4 are just examples really. Making a level that works for you and your setup should be much more enjoyable.

I am, unfortunately, not that good at this game. A neat use of minimalistic visuals, through. Would have also enjoyed some noises to go along with them.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

Yeah I don't think the difficulties are optimally set, it was hard to decide. The randomness of the levels affects it a lot.

This was a lot of fun!! It took me a while but I finally beat stage 4!! Well done!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! Thanks!

Very interesting puzzle game mechanics, some feedback on the design sometimes the connections were difficult to see due to the color of the backgrounds and the connections being very close. Over all very cool and unique.

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah... I know. I should have predefined available colors.

Many thanks for the feedback and I'm happy you thought it was cool 😀

Edit.

Or... you know what I actually should have done. I should have just drawn an outline on the paths. The same way I'm doing when the mouse cursor hovers over them, just less opaque. (I do hope that hovering effect is working for everyone...)

Damn. I got way too bogged down yesterday trying to figure out a way to decide in code if the colors would stand out against the background, and failing.

Oh well.

Took me some time to figure out how the puzzle worked, but after that it was really fun :D

Good work!

Thank you!
