I like the idea, but found the game a little bit too fast-paced to allow for actual strategic play. In the end I just tried to use the capture bullet as often as possible, quickly building a sizable army. Aiming then became pretty irrelevant as the screen was filled with bullets anyway. The boss battle just was a battle of life bars at that point, I feel. Did he actually have three separate life bars btw or was there some recharge trigger I didn't get? Anyways: It was fun while it lasted. :)
I love these space shooters where your ship is modular, this is the first I've played where you're upgrading it on-the-fly with recycled parts from enemies! For me this is the strongest concept in this, something I'd love to see built upon.
The enemy projectiles are really fast compared to the player movement, which makes skillful dodging really difficult. To win it seems like you may as well just run through enemy fire and collect as many dice as you can, considering they heal you too.
This is a great prototype considering the 48 hour limit, well done!
Awesome design! Very fun to collect dice and make your ship larger. Great work!
This is probably the most dynamic game I've tried here! Awesome idea and very interestingly executed!
I'm reminded of some Nintendo game or something like that, where you pick up parts of enemy ships.
I really wanted to play it, but didn't get the chance. Thanks for fulfilling a childhood dream :D It's a hard enough game until you start absorbing others more and building yourself a solid defense. Although in the beginning I really felt like there were too many projectiles flying from the enemies, causing them to be killed almost instantly. However, I realize that in a jam game, smooth and long progression is quite difficult to achieve.
Nevertheless, for me, it's one of the most awesome games here!
Very fun! I liked the concept:)
Absolute banger of a game love almost all of the aspects of it. The only problem i ve got is that with the boss it doesnt really seem like you control something but its just about whose health bar depletes faster
Fun game, however initially it's not very obvious what I'm supposed to do, because it's not intuitive to move into the enemies, as that is usually bad. After I figured out how to play I found things on screen happening way too quickly to think. Also I'm not sure if it's intended but the Dice Lord HP seemed to just reset after being dropped to zero.
Took me a few tries to beat the dice lord! But once I got enough dice collected to kill him, I felt like a god. I love the music and sound effects! It fits the intense, chaotic vibes of the rest of the game perfectly. It'd be interesting to see what shapes are most common to be in by the end of the game. I had a long line of dice stacked uniformly next to each other. Very cool!
I couldn't stop playing it until I beat it.
Very nice!
