Very interesting mechanics! Having to pick up bullets is creative and makes the game feel really unique.
I like the use of the theme
Nice cute graphics, mechanics of picking up bullets very interesting and fun!
Really solid foundation here. I personally would have liked it if the gameplay was a little faster. This sort of game would benefit from a more fast paced style - so faster movement, enemies and dice.
Overall it was quite fun and you could definitely take this game further!
Thanks! Totally agree. I've messed with some of the settings like increasing chip drops and such in my personal build that have made it a lot more enjoyable. Thanks!
Really good game! I loved the roll movement and the attacks. There's a lot of room for improvement, more enemies and different patterns. Maybe you could wait some time between wave and wave to prepare for each round. 5/5!
Thanks! The shop menu actually pauses the game so you have as long as you want to prepare in terms of management. Maybe more time to collect your die, though. Thanks!
The art looks really nice and I like the little animations the enemies and the player have. But I feel like the gameplay is a bit too slow, it takes quite some time to be able to buy something in the shop.
Glad you liked the art! I totally agree with your gameplay critique. Thanks!
25 tokens for a reroll is way too expensive! :D
Love the dices bounces, I wish they were a bit less random, and that subsequent bounces could do damages too, so I could try more trick shots :D.
With a bit more polish it could become a nice take on Vampire survivors/20 mn till dawn-like games. 👍
You're totally right, the reroll cost is scaled for mid-game, but should really scale with the waves. I like the idea of subsequent bounces doing more damage! Thanks :)
Saw one of the other comments saying they didn't like that the dice bounced off, which I don't agree with at all, that was my favorite part. I was trying to line my shots up perfectly so that the dice bounced right back at me and I could grab them again. Pretty fun and cool idea for a setting.
I'm glad you liked the bounce mechanic! I think having to line it up or missing and having to go retrieve the die added an element of risk that I liked. Thanks :)
Pretty cool, I think the store should automatically open after a wave is finished. I liked the art and how the cards would chase you in a wall.
Good idea! I think that'd help clarify that a wave is done, too. I love the compliments I'm getting on the art, as it's my biggest insecurity with gamedev. So thanks!
Fun concept, would be even more amazing with some extra polish.
Totally agree. I learned a good lesson about time management on this one lol. Thanks!
Definitely could have benefitted from some sound, but otherwise I think the game gets kind of repetitive since you have to pick up dice after you throw them. Personally I would opt for a cooldown next time, as right now it feels odd kiting enemies when you have no more dice and need to pick them back up.
I really like that as a die you have a dodge roll, good animation with it too!
Please try our game as well! :)
Fair criticisms! I think it gets a little less tedious and repetitive once you start getting homing and returning dice, but as another reviewer mentioned, it takes a while to get to the good upgrades. Thanks!
I really like the character designs, though I wish the shop was a bit cheaper, It didn't really feel like I got to explore switching out my loadout soon enough. 100% my favorite part is the artwork and sprites!
Yeah, I can totally see that. To be honest, I spent so much time trying to add more stuff I didn't really get the time to test it :/ Thanks for the feedback!
Really solid concept; I think it's drawn from the theme in all the right ways, mechanically and aesthetically. The lack of sound is a bit of a shame, as I think it could really enhance the setting and/or general vibe, but that certainly hasn't stopped your vision from shining through!
Yeah, I bit off more than I could chew in a lot of ways here. I really gotta not make sound the last thing I do! It's a learning experience. Thanks!
