Congrats on your first jam! I found it a little hard to connect this to the theme, but I think that you have a solid framework for a base building game! I do understand the tight time constraints made it difficult to achieve your goals, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future!

How does your game fit the theme?
The game is all about looking for dot patterns you’d typically find on a D6 die. It’s also about random ballistics, so the outcome of the game is largely determined by luck.

I really liked the graphics and the idea of the game, I will definitely play it if you decided on turning it to a full game.
Really nice look for the game, that was my first thought, good job on your first jam, the idea is cool and with some work it could be even better!
For a first time jam this looks really good, I like the style and I personally love the particle effects, could of course stand to have some sound effects, maybe camera shake for a little juiciness, and of course more levels.
But other than that, amazing work!
The makings of a thoroughly satisfying base builder game. It was quite fun watching the missiles flying back and forth over one another. Would like to see where this goes from here as the core idea of constructing bases inside the landscape damages brought about by enemy units is certainly a novel concept I would dig seeing explored more.
Congrats on your first jam!
It was a bit hard to connect it to the theme and understanding how that ties into strategy.
The visuals are really nice! I suggest making it so that the enemy missiles have different color to our missiles. At times it was hard to know who shot who :)
Good job!
I see how the connection to the theme can be a bit vague.
My initial idea was way too ambitious to complete. I wanted to make an RTS where you have to look for dice-like dot patterns on the ground to build any building. 6 building types for each face of the D6 die. Eventually the reality toned the concept down to a much more abstract interpretation of the dice and a lot less strategy. Good thing that the randomness is still there so at least we have that kind of "roll of the dice" in this game =)
Thanks for the feedback
Good first game jam project! Wasn't too sure what the best strat was, I just kept spamming click and that seemed to do the trick!
Thanks a lot! Honestly, my ambitions were cut short so I'm not sure there are that many strategies to go with with only 3 building types.
Still, despite the simple look there is some depth to this game. For instance a single-crater building only lasts for one shot and then self-destructs. When it does, it also breaks nearby crates so you end up having less space to build if you just go about spamming these small silos everywhere. Ultimately what I think my game lacks the most is content and it’s communtaction.
The game looks good. However honestly the gameplay does not feel all that good. I don't see much strategy apart from place a turret in every hole as soon as it appears. Everything else does not work and there is barely any control.
Thanks! I know I might have not communicated that well enough, but there is some strategy to this game.
Spamming single-crater buildings is not a great strategy. They only last for one shot and then self-destruct. And when they do, they also break nearby craters so you end up having less space to build.
Congrats on your first game jam! :) I really like the presentation in this one, you put a lot of game juice into it with all the particle effects and such which I think makes a big difference. The explosion, smoke, trails, water ripples etc really adds a lot and makes the minimalistic style look clean and professional.
I like the graphics and the responsiveness of the game. I wish I could do more. I mostly waited for two craters to appear next to each.
