It was fun to drive around a track in a small car. The UI was easy to understand but I think the speedometer is lying. There is no way that car is going over 300 mph. Nice work :D

very cool! fun to zoom around

check out my game if you have a sec!

Nice little game! I think the car control is challenging but not too uncontrollable. Maybe try reducing the narrow and tight turns and the overall experience will be smoother.

Submitted

Cool concept, but the car is difficult to control because the road is very narrow and it turns really aggressively. Little tip for your page: itch.io's fullscreen button doesn't work, so I'd recommend to switch to "launch in fullscreen instead.

the concept is cool, but the gameplay feels tough due to the thin road

Cool concept, but very thin road :(

I liked a lot of the elements of the UI! I thought the speedo changing colours based on speed was a cool touch in particular. The combo of floaty car physics and narrow, tight bends made it a little frustrating to maneuver around the track though. Overall, great work!

I didn't know I needed a top down trackmania.  This is pretty solid.  drifting feels a bit overdone, and roads feel a bit too thin.  But I really love this concept.

Let me go on the grass goddamnit

A simple racing game with some satisfying driving. As others have pointed out, I hit walls a lot so it wouldve been amazing if the track was a bit wider. Still, this was enjoyable little game!

Cool little driving game, the controls are fine but I think the tracks should have a little more room to maneuver. Good one anyways!

The art is cute! Putting more care into the car SFX would go a looooong way in making the gameplay more engaging. Overall really solid work given the limited time frame.

I feel like the accelleration could've been so satisfying if I didn't bump into a wall every time. It's hard to gain more speed this way. Other than that fun game :)

The car can accelerate a lot, but since the tracks are so tight and the drift is so floaty (makes you feel like you're driving on ice) you don't really get to experience a nice smooth drive, instead you're constantly bumping into walls. The map was way zoomed out as well, the UI felt like it occupied more of the screen that the focus of the game itself

Fun vibe, wish the corners were more rounded so i could gain more speed, but the speed up/driving fx are super satisfying.

Submitted

A bit floaty, but its nice! Also you did it well when you said your goal was to make a nice UI!

Submitted

Fun, I enjoyed it. I think you could extend it by adding more tracks (perhaps making them wider as well :))

Submitted

The drifting feels pretty nice, actually. I agree that it needs wider tracks for full zoom-ability.

I love the handling. Sure it's a little floaty, but the car inertia just feels so nice! Kinda sad that the tracks are so narrow... It is a good simple base for a simple racing game.

Audio becomes maybe a little repetitive at the fourth track, but I mean it's not a the end of the world.
