This is amazing, love how the unique progression system came from the theme. Tight controls and amazing art! Solid job team ^_^
I loved the art style, it was wonderful! The gameplay was fun and unique, and the music matched the vibes well 😁😁
At the beginning was pretty heavy for my pc but finally I got it to work! It's a very good game! I really loved the art and sound!
Neat game, I like that the buffs stack permanently. Some things that should be good, like speed up, begin to have drawbacks (too fast is hard to control!). Although, it makes the starting hand really important, I had my best runs when I reset for a good starting deck. It would be nice if I saw which bad cards were in each draft, since I could then make a more reasoned decision.
Ok, after playing a few more times (and beating it), I think it's very shallow strategically as a deckbuilder, but I like the weird outcomes from permanent buffs. There's a dominant strategy (get multishot, health up, and heal early) but I had fun finding it. Because of the enemy AI, I tried to avoid ever jumping, since it was far easier to manage the slimes when they stayed on the ground. This left me opting out of every single movement card.
The art is cute, but not as legible as it could be. I'd like to see more feedback on getting hit. The lighting is very nice. I'm not sure the music fits the tone. My only note on SFX is that the player getting hit should probably be a different sound to hitting the enemies.
The game’s pacing kept me engaged the whole time. Didn’t fully get the card mechanics at first, but it became clearer as I played. Super fun overall—great job!
Nice visual effects, especially the glowing!
The game loop took some time to understand. The hardest part to learn was that cards that scroll at the bottom apply their effects automatically by some cooldown, and the cards you pick are not applied immediately ("hey, I picked multishot multiple times, why nothing changed? ... oh, that's why....")
It would be cool to have some hint of the applied card effect, as it is challenging to keep track of them in the middle of the fight.
I also thought that "restart" starts the game over from zero state, but apparently it only resets the card effects, and the deck stays with you forever.
Once I got used to these rules, it was very fun to hunt for calamari ¦3
COOL GAME !!!
I love the art style! I had tough time figuring out the cards at first but got the hang of it!
Really liked the art/music, both came together to create a really cool vibe. I initially found it quite difficult and died quite a few times, but I soon found out which card choices worked for me and was able to have some more fun with it. I love how this allows some different playstyles depending what you choose!
A really fun idea executed well!
The art is great! I really enjoy the vibe and the enemy cards are well balanced. Awesome game!
Lots of fun! Nicely executed idea to be honest, id be happy if I published this.
Really nice polished build with a solid concept well executed.
I liked the balancing with the enemy cards being thrown in, just wish there was a way to control the loop of the cards or add in some strategy there as well?
Overall lots of fun!
Really fun game!
The way different abilities combine is really interesting
Cool gam! I really like the artstyle and the idea of getting a upgrades that work with each other.
Cool game and rated! If you want you can check out my game as well!
Again really cool idea!
Very cool game!
great theme usage, the skills wasnt really obvious changes except the multi shot and the enemies might be abit small. great work btw!
Wait this game is awesome! I really enjoyed it. Stacking fire-rate, piecing, and multi-shot is a recipe for a good time. The game felt like the perfect length for a jam game, and it scaled in difficulty a good pace. Additionally It has good visuals and a funky theme. It would be nice if it tracked statistics during the run and displayed it in the game over scene. That being said, I had a blast, this
is a fun take on the theme! You guys did a great job! :)
Cool concept. I really like the pixel art and music. Good range of abilities to keep the gameplay interesting.
The flying skeleton fish are such a vibe.
This was really fun! I wasn't sure at first what the deck was for, but after a few round I understood that they were permanent upgrades, and the game became really interesting. It's a neat twist on the vampire survivor-like! There might be some cards that make the game really hard (enemy speed increase is devastating); but inversely there are also others that make the player really powerful. It's really exciting to see the same buffs and nerfs getting applied over and over. The only useless ones would be damage increase and enemy health: since they cancel each other out, it's like these cards have no effects.
Anyway, I had a very great time on it! And I also like how the final boss is introduced, really cool presentation. Congrats for making this great game!
I'm glad you liked it, thanks so much for checking it out!
Slimes doing wall jumps wasn’t something I expected, but it definitely made me chuckle. And what can I say, I'm a sucker for pixel art.
