I absolutely love music games and this did not disappoint. I would totally play more polished version with more machanics and such.

Great game! I was always divided between creating a killing machine or a beautiful song hahaha

This game is so awesome!

The idea of having the music track use your weapons for you is such a smart idea! Kinda just liked jamming to it :)

I really like the idea! I feel that the audio could be tweaked a bit more, it felt quite dry, maybe mix the sounds more, add more variation to them, a little reverb to count for the environment. Would have loved some SFX for footsteps as well. But I really like the idea of using the sounds as attacks and placing them on the loop, it's pretty neat!

In terms of gameplay, I though that spawning in the room after getting a new instrument was a bit brutal. Maybe having an in between empty room would be nice, so the player can decide to go in the next room :)
The animations are really nice, I like the vibe from the game, it fells rather polished. Great work :)

A very clever idea, I like it.

gameplay roguelite is done in a clever way, building music loop over time with weapons is smart, nice job

managed to get to floor 5 but there's too many enemies for floor space which can be quite tricky when spawning in the middle

artwork is polished, that's really cute, amazing job done on the art!

This is fun! I liked getting to add multiple power ups. They also helped teach me about the enemies.

Very cute game. Artwork really sells the basic concept. At the moment the different upgrades feel a bit unbalanced. Some are ultra powerful, others feel a bit useless....but it is a lot of fun. Could easily be turned into a full fledged game.

Ah I loved this one! Such a great idea for a game...

My only feedback would be that I would love to be able to hear how the new instrument I'm selecting is going to sound before I place it. I found myself way more into trying to create a groove than optimising the positions for damage

I'm also a big fan of the choose 1-of-3 things games! We created a deckbuilder, so would love your feedback if you want to give it a try

Love the artstyle and animations!
Really cool concept and idea for a roguelike where your abilities are formatted like this!
Looks like a lot of work! Good stuff!

Really cool entry. I got a bunch of legendaries which took up most of the space early on and pretty much became OP instantly waltzing through things. I couldn't figure out how to remove old placements though so my placement area was full and I couldn't progress without picking an instrument, but I had no space. But very nice concept, really enjoyed it.

Great gameplay and gorgeous art ! I loved the interactions with the music during fight x)

Love it, its only frustrating that you can only really shoot in two directions. Otherwise great concept and fun to play :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing! It depends on the instruments you get. You can end up shooting in all directions 😄 and more

Ah so a skill issue on my end, I’ll have to play again then :)

Great idea, love the graphics too, maybe the sprites are a bit too big, makes it hard to dodge enemy projectiles

Really cool concept ! Art is amazing even if i wished they were some more stretch and squatch to give a more bouncy feelings to players enemies and bullets/effects.

I wish they were a preview when you place an instrument though but the game is nice !

I really enjoyed this game! I loved to add new intruments to my loop to see their effect.

New instruments didn't feel really meaningful as the starting drum beat was already really powerful. It had a nice range, rate and 1 shoted ennemies. So it felt really powerful compared to others instruments. But I'm sure if I played a bit more I would have felt the same for other instruments. Well done anyway!!

Brilliant game! I fear the best strategy may not involve making a pleasant sound song haha..

Best game of the jam so far! Super smart mechanic, having your powerups create a unique song each run was super cool! If you can you should definitely keep working on this after the jam!

It's very funny

Great idea and art but could use some better balance. Dodging this many enemies in a room this small is really overwhelming, at least at the beggining.
