great game! the voice over made me laugh because it doesn't match the character at all XD

thank you for this cute sprite! I used it in my GMTK game jam game :D

Great idea, love the graphics too, maybe the sprites are a bit too big, makes it hard to dodge enemy projectiles

great game! Fun movement. QUCK QUACK!

Great game! A bit awkward to aim when you're constantly moving, but the idea is great! Love the graphics too!

Great idea! quite mesmerising, controlled very smoothly and I liked the idea of changing the feel each lap!

nice idea, would have liked to be able to see the cards once you start playing so you could see what was coming next. The jump was weird because it jumps you even if you're in the air, might have been ok to just skip that jump if you're already in the air.

Great idea! Reminds me of chuchu rocket! :D

Nice idea moving from one side of the screen to the other. Very easy, would have been good to include some obstacles or enemies, or a time limit?

Nice idea, not sure why name needs to be 5 characters? and the x and y variables in the high scores screen dont work, but I like the concept!

Love the music!! Very Lufia feeling, I used some tracks in my entry for the GMTK game jam :) Thank you for making these free to use!

I might try making a mobile port if there's enough interest :)

Thanks I think.. not sure what makes it feel like AI? Yes I'll try to make another game soon! I have a lot of ideas :D

glad you enjoyed it so far! It’s not meant to be a fast game, it’s more of a collecting / hide and seek game finding the baby donuts

this should be fixed in the next update, I’m working on a bunch of different issues :)

Hi everyone, thanks for playing so far! Just wanted to let you all know that I've removed PC downloads of the game. Various errors were occurring and I can't find an easy fix. Once I've figured out the root cause I'll re-exort them. For now, please enjoy the browser version! Thank you for your patience, and enjoy the game! :)

For more info see my update on the latest Dev Log: https://retrobreak.itch.io/super-donuts/devlog/902927/version-4-out-now-lots-of-improvements-and-bug-fixes

thank you, I’ll try my best to fix it. Might need to re-program how the presents work, it only became a problem when I made the PC version… something’s strange! Appreciate the help though. I’ll make sure it’s all sorted soon!

OMG I’m so sorry! I only thought there was maybe one that didn’t work in world 5! Which version were you playing? HTML, Windows, Mac or Linux? I might need to take them all down and do some thorough play testing again… something’s gone wrong!

Looks like you had fun so far! Thanks for playing! :D Sounds like your dogs enjoyed it too haha

thank you! Banjo Kazooie definitely had a big influence on the game, replace the Jiggies with Sweets and the Jinjo’s with baby donuts! Glad you had fun! My back catalogue isn’t great… but you might like Quantum Shift, it’s the only other game I actually put much time into.

Wow! Thank you for the stream! Glad you enjoyed it! I know the last few worlds have performance problems... Think I got a bit carried away! I hope the downloadable version works better for you... I might go back in the future and try to do some performance fixes too. Hope you enjoyed it, I'll check out the stream soon!

That's so cool! Thanks of sharing! Maybe I should have made a 4:3 version for CRT's too...

I've just updated the Linux build with some bug fixes.

That's awesome! You can upload images here if you want to show me! Or find my email / bluesky links on my website :)

Hi, should be fixed now! For some reason the PC builds were overwriting the number of donuts in the boss stages, resetting it back to 0 before it could calculate how many were meant to be displayed...

(1 edit)

that’s amazing! Try booting the HTML version back up now, it should be 3.8, I’ve reduced some of the effects in the final stage. - I've also updated the PC builds with the same fixes now too.

I've just created a new options menu that includes a "quit to desktop" button, and a full screen / window toggle :)

Hey, I’m working on a fix this weekend! I’ve had a few people say the final level runs slowly… Stay tuned for a fix soon!! So glad you’ve been enjoying the rest of the game :)

Firstly, congrats for getting all the way to the end! The final stage does have a lot going on... I might try and reduce some of the effects and number of enemies to try and get it to run smoother in the future... I think it should run better using the PC version, but I don't think there's any way to get your save file out of the HTML game, it's saved in the web browser I believe...

I want to add an exit button, and maybe a full screen / window toggle too and combine both the downloadable versions… it will take a while to update them all though.. glad you enjoyed the game anyway!

that’s weird, it’s showing as donuts -1? Did you pick up the blue baby donut that drops when the boss is killed? Looks like somehow it counted it twice?? I’ll see if I can fix it by adding some code if donuts < 0, donuts = 0, then the exit should stay open if that glitch does occur…

Hi, the PC build is available now!

Mac download is out now! :D

Hi, I've uploaded a linux build now! Let me know if that works for you! :D

Thanks! Good to meet another Stencyl dev, Good luck with your game too. :)

glad you enjoyed it! There is a possibility in the future for it to be ported to emulation handhelds natively! I’m going to start looking into it soon!

don’t think it’s possible with the way Stencyl works. But you can download something like this to map the keyboard to a controller. I did that for play testing and it worked great!  https://joytokey.net/en/

thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Good luck with your game dev too if you decide to make something in Stencyl!

thank you! I’ll add a Mac export soon once I’ve sorted the licence out

Do you mean the brown dots? They are speed boosting chocolate balls, there’s yellow ones too which fly away as you go over them, but the brown ones stay in place. You can use them to help with the time trials :D good luck!
