Really liked this game! Beat it in 8 minutes exactly :) Just getting big number and buying upgrades to make number go bigger was honestly super satisfying.
Just main complaints/criticisms were that the UI elements moved when you hovered over them and scroll reset when you bought an upgrade. Also just the performance, but I totally understand for a 4 day game jam.
Still really thought this game was awesome though! Great job!
Sorry for all of that confusion! - I probably didn't spend as much time as I would've liked to on feedback and a sort of "tutorial" - it kinda just throws you in
Now that I look back at it the fire pellets description isn't that great, since it makes it seem like if a fire pellet is shot by fire again it gets multiplied again, but it actually doesn't (as a matter of fact there's a bug in the game that actually makes it just set it back to a regular pellet again, whoops - it's supposed to just stay as fire)
The speed up by boosters actually isn't multiplicative, it's additive, because behind the scenes the ball has two speed values; the base speed and the bonus speed, and boosters just add a set value to that bonus speed.
Also, on the topic of the ice and gravity pellets, I never actually included it in the descriptions of the pellets, cause I totally forgot, but the ice pellets and gravity pellets are also worth more than the regular pellets (not by anywhere near as much as the fire pellets, but still a bit - I think its 4x).
Also, the amount of money you make for each bigger loop is multiplied by 10 (multiplicative, so the third loop is 100x compared to the first), but for some strange reason I never added any sort of UI element or anything like that to display it to the player, so I guess you were just sorta supposed to figure that part out (and I totally understand if you didn't)
The yellow pellets (or golden pellets, as I called them) aren't ever explained, so I completely understand the confusion, but they are literally just regular pellets but worth 15x more, which I probably should've included in the description of the game somewhere or something like that (or maybe a UI popup when they first show up - something to inform the player).
I completely understand all your criticism and it's all completely fair! Thanks for taking the time to play and share all your feedback :)
Thanks! That means alot!
I tried to push the game more on the satisfying side rather than anything, and tried to make the game not so "idle", but rather you build stuff and watch the satisfying things happen on your screen as you make money (i will admit i did spend probably a total of like 2 hours just staring at my screen while making this lol)
Sorry about that - unity's audio system can be a little bit weird sometimes.
Thanks for playing!
It might not have been the pellets that were loud though, and it might just be my fault instead of unity's, cause I think at some point for some reason the pellet launchers and converters shooting sound is just way too loud cause there like 50 of them layered ontop of eachother.
oh
super sorry about that! I thought I had tested all the anomalies and they worked, but I must have missed that one when I was going through them
Thanks so much for playing the game though! Will be sure to fix that if I have some spare time :)
EDIT: I've taken the time to look at it very quickly and it turns out I accidentally entered the monitor anomaly in the study as being an extra object, which is really silly of me lol, thanks for reporting it :)
EDIT 2: I have updated the windows build, but updating the mac build is a bit painful so I haven't done that yet (probably won't do that in general)

https://galactic-gnome-games.itch.io/door-defender Me and my friends worked on this project. Im currently not logged into the shared account for it, but i think you will enjoy it! Its the idea where you have to enter the door to collect resources to defend your door from being destroyed by hordes of zombies that come at night. Theres various weapons, walls and enjoyable gameplay! Sadly we ran out of time for polish cause we overestimated how much time we would have for gamplay.
Anyway check it out!
