Thank you so much, and thank you for playing our game!

Oooh I love this! The music,  the animation, the vibe! Well done, this is so good and unique! :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to play our game! :) I definitely agree, it needs more visual and challenges, that's something we're trying to bring in a post-jam update :)

I look forward to the post-jam version of the game :)

I love the atmosphere ! The music, the minimalist vibe, the creepy statue... It works very well. Well done!

But I could not finish the game, after two very very long stairs, when I saw more stairs and my timer being almost done, I just noped out of the game! In total I played about 15min I think, and I would say it is asking a bit too much from players in term of time vs reward

Nice game! The idea is nice, it is quite intuitive to pick up, and the art/audio is nice as well! Feels really polished.

It just misses a little oomph for me, maybe the fact that your reset to level ? I could not get passed level 3 and it went from fun to frustrating. Maybe a mechanic to push some planet away? Or just resetting on the same level? I am not sure, but it's that little something missing to make me want to come back to it.

But on the positive not, it looks really really good, I am really impressed! Great work :)

Super cute game! The art is great, I love the little guy, and the way you introduced the mechanics is top notch!

The only thing I would have to say would be that it is a bit hard to tell what round I am in, so I had a few struggles with that and had to try things out a bit more I think. But I am just really nitpicking to be honest.

Really nice polished game, great work!

I really like the vibe and the idea! I think I am usually pretty good at puzzles but this one really got me. As said below by Jamie Birch, I think a more incremental introduction would have been great, I really struggle to visualize the moves and having more practice with the mechanics would help !  I don't know if you had time to get someone to playtest it, but I think it would help making it easier to approch (in a jam setting).
Anyhow, I saw that you are planning a solution guide and I think that's a great idea! I look forward to that so I can try my hand at the game more :)

I love this game! The retro aesthetic, the artwork (which is amazing), the tile system... I really like it!

The downsides I would say: the tile system needs some tweaking, I honestly got stuck quite a few times and that was a bit frustrating. I thought the combat was slow, but once I put the music from soundcloud in the background, it was perfect! The vibe changes completely, I really hope you can implement the SFX and music after the jam because it sounds really good. (and maybe next time implement it as soon as possible ;))

All in all, great work, it has a really strong identity :)

I love the atmosphere! Really getting this noir vibe, it is super nice. The artwork is great, you really did great world building!

On the other side, I'm stuck (I've talked to every body, got the money, could not find a ligher) and I couldn't move forward. It might be nice to have a little walkthrough/hints available somwhere! I also like the idea to be able to reset the stopwatch faster if needed.

The piano track is really nice but it stopped playing after a while and did not loop back sadly.

All in all, great game, well polished, and please I would love some hints so I can play some more :)

I loved it!

A great experience, the puzzles are challenging enough but do-able (but thank you for the guide, I got on what the number meant on floor 6)
The aesthetic is amazing, the atmosphere, the slight creepiness. Just a beautiful polished game, I am so impressed! What a gem!

That is what I thought, but honestly it is a great work around if you struggle with art! I'd say playing to your strength is a good way to make a game for a jam!

To be honest I only realized because Mark uses it when doing the GMTK live! But it makes it much easier to play download only game. I wanted to try playing more of these, because they are very good games in the lot (like yours!) but they get way less traction and view. It not working could also be depending if you ticked the box on your download identifying it as a windows build? I think that maybe  the itch app needs to identify that there is a build for your system, otherwise it does not "find" it.

I did the same on my first game jam (which was last month) and realized a web build is a must for visibility!

The visuals are super nice, I love the design of the room! Sadly I thought that the controls were pretty difficult to get accustomed to, and 1st person view made it really hard to see the string. I really like the idea, it is a really nice looking game, very polished, but the controls made it really hard for me to play.

I really couldn't go far in the game , it felt pretty clunky with the controls/plateforms. I wish I could have explored more!

Definitely worth the download ! (might be worth uploading as a .zip as the itch app doesn't seem to like the.exe and wouldn't install it in the app)

I really enjoyed it, chapter 3 was for sure utter chaos! This was very fun and felt very polished. Well done on being a parent for the second time AND making a game in the game jam!

I like this interpretation of the theme! The narrative is nice, as well as the art.

But I did feel that I was doing much in term of control, and getting the timing right was mostly luck. The battles are happing too slowly in my opinion, so the game drags a bit, which removes some of the enjoyement.

It has great potential, I think it needs a little tweaking to make it really nice to play :)

Thank you so much, it means a lot!

I really like the idea! I feel that the audio could be tweaked a bit more, it felt quite dry, maybe mix the sounds more, add more variation to them, a little reverb to count for the environment. Would have loved some SFX for footsteps as well. But I really like the idea of using the sounds as attacks and placing them on the loop, it's pretty neat!

In terms of gameplay, I though that spawning in the room after getting a new instrument was a bit brutal. Maybe having an in between empty room would be nice, so the player can decide to go in the next room :)
The animations are really nice, I like the vibe from the game, it fells rather polished. Great work :)

Thank you very much! There is jump input buffering indeed :)
I am very glad the platforming felt good, this was our first platformer (ish) game and we will definitely expand on this post-jam :)

Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it! I will definitely add a volume slider (I need to learn how) and we will expand on the gameplay post-jam :)

Thank you very much!
I understand your frustration, I was hoping to add more in the visuals but ran out of time. Regarding gameplay, we want to expand this after the jam, I do need time to experiment and test things, I have just been learning to code and game dev for a month :)

Thank you! We are definitely planning to expand the gameplay aspect post-jam :)

Thank you! The sprite for the music block changes when activated or deactivated, but maybe we should have made it more obvious :)

It might need some tweaking but damn, I love farming games and this was so cozy to play! I had to stop myself after winning, otherwise I would keep at it for too long! This with some nice cozy music, maybe a few different objectives, would be a really nice cozy game! Well done!

Fun twist for sure ! At first felt like trying to make pancake in Skyrim, the controls were pretty hard to get (even with the sensitivity), but the story was fun!

The idea is nice, I can see a lot of potential!

I really want to love this game and play it more, but the collisions are making it really hard to play! The bushes hitbox stays for quite while when they dissapear, the branches colission is a bit of a hit and miss too. I love the idea, the artwork is super nice, I just couldn't get past the second screen after many tries. I think it just needs a little bit of tweaking :)

I really like the take on the "die to move forward" concept, it makes a lot of sense with the turtle shell and I like the generations idea. I feel that the game progression is a bit too slow at the beginning, it just makes you want to spam death to up your stats rather than actually playing! I had fun, and it looks polished, well done! :)

I really love this concept, the gameplay felt so intuitive and fun! Really beautiful atmospheric game, well done!

Fun to play and the levels are well though out. Maybe could have shortened the first part a little bit, but it was good!

I couldn't seem to advance the story, it is a shame because I really like the atmosphere and the idea!

Very nice game, well made and the puzzles are challenging just the right amount! I love the possibility to skip a puzzle as well. It was also very easy to understand the game, it felt very instictive. Great work!

Really enjoyed this game! I wish there was a way to zoom in and out, it felt a bit much dragging the camera in the later part of the game. But I would say it feels very nice to play, very intuitive and nicely polished :)

Very nice concept and mechanic, really well executed. It is hard to play,. but feels very rewarding when winning !

Again, very impressive! (I agree, cat helps a lot :))

I look forward to the post jam patch !

What a game! I love the mechanics and the concept, could have kept playing way longer. Would be so nice as a full game following different peoples life memories. How did you do all this in 4 days? I am very impressed. Great work!

Very fun game, super polished, amazing work! The intro is super fun and cute, and can we talk about th menu? It is amazing!
I would say the only downside to me was the game was a bit long, it got repetitive after a while.
But otherwise, the music, SFX , artwork, it's all great. And super nice that you included an option to change the mouse sensitivity :)

Super fun game, really polished, cozy, feels great! Honestly, 10/10!
All the assets look great, the music was nice, the SFX was satisfying, audio volume was great. Nothing much to nitpick, it's just really good!

The controls were quite hard to get at first, it would be nice to introduce them in the game. I'm not sure what happened, a lot of bombs started falling and maybe the gameplay impossible? It seemed strange so I was a bit confused.

I really like the idea otherwise, the peaceful vibe and trying to keep the dominos going!

Got quite confused with the harpoon mechanic and how to get planks, a little intro would be very nice. I like the vibe and the idea! :)
