Spent quite a while on this! Had fun, but couldn't get past the gold layer. Not sure what I was missing!
Loved the artwork and it was a fun game loop, fits the theme well.
Really nicely done.
Nice game, you gotta think about your moves
Nice game, you gotta think about your moves
Very unique! It starts out pretty slow but once you get the hang of it this is super fun. Great Job, love the art.
This is awesome! At first I was confused because I kept trying to find somewhere to sell the blocks in my backpack, but then I realized I had to dig into the earth to get more gems to 'dig to the stars'! Great game!
Wow I played this game for so long I have a lot to say about it but I'll try to keep my comment not too long.
First, I really had a lot of fun, everything feels very cohesive, it's an amazing game.
That said I think the game has a lot of potential with some improvements, and since there's so much going on, there's a lot of things that need improvement in my opinion: I didn't realize that you could build to climb until very far in the game, I focused on digging to get more diamongs and I didn't upgrade the bag, I didn't realize the diamond boxes respawned, that would have made my life so much easier.. I would also improve the movement since it feels very slow especially when you're building and have to go all the way down to collect more blocks. Because I didn't know you could climb, I didn't reach the robots at the top until very late, so I didn't know what some things did, I really think the game needs a tutorial because there's a lot happening and it took me a while to understand what to do even with the robot dialog explaining. The shop also needs to explain what every item does. Finally, I think there's a lot of games out there with this kind of style, from spelunky to steamworld dig and a lot of more games, so the climbing part kinda makes it differenciate from those, with more adjustments it could even make it into a full game that I would totally play.
Sorry for the long comment and having so much to improve doesn't mean it's bad, it means it has a lot of potential and I don't usually write so much about games so that just means how much I loved this one! Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the comment. We have loads of ideas on how to improve it!
Cool game! It took me a while to realize I was supposed to be going up so I accidentally stripmined the whole planet first
the game is good the art soo cool and playing it sooo cute nice job making this
What a nice game!
This game is very chill and relaxing, the game concept is very original, I love the artwork style and sound fells good ^^
But after playing the game can feel humdrum and slow , and restarting the loop feels a bit frustrating, but still very enjoyable!
Congrats
Very cool entry! I played before reading the description to be as unbiased as possible, so I had a “woah” moment when I realized that I did in fact had to dig to the stars. That was like getting pancakes in bed, so very enjoyable yes!
I feel the character is a bit slow (… now that I think about it, is it what the foot upgrade improves? That would explain it, I didn’t buy a single one haha), and it can be frustrating not to be able to dig directly above.
But all in all great work, there is a nice ambiance, a bit of lore sprinkled above simple but effective graphics! Thanks for this experience, it was a great 20 minutes. :)
Thanks. Love you for playing it.
I really felt the progression in this game due to the upgrades, that was pretty cool
I do kind of wish the gems got placed randomly though, as I now knew exactly where to go each time to get the gems, pretty cool game though, and I love the art btw!!
The idea for the gems was you discovered them as you explored, and to get the secret ending you had to use that knowledge to get them all in one loop. Otherwise I think it would have been tedious to explore the whole map over and over.
It's very fun, But the gameplay loop was a little confusing at first. I love the ablilities. Good Job!
It reminds me of a retro game similar to it. Have fun while playing it
Very nice game. Reminds me of older games like motherload, but I enjoy how the loop allows you to find more optimal paths over time. I didn't finish but I liked where it was going. Creative and fun :)
Great game. The team involved are a great group, and I can't wait to see what they make in the future.
Nice loop, Planning ahead is important here.
A very fleshed out and nice game, and the loop is nice
very cool loop theme adherance. I like drilling it feels goooooooooooood
I found the gameplay creative where I haven't played anything similar before! Yet the narritve lacks a bit because a guy who's trying jam games I don't have a lot of patience to read a lot hehe
But got it figured at the end and hada blast, good job !
Very interesting concept, but I admit I was very confused by the game loop at first. A few tweaks to make the objective a bit more understandable and you're good to go!! GG
