Resizing the character seems to be quite a common theme for this jam, but having a sheet of paper that folds is a nice twist on it.

My main complaint is the collisions or something - when climbing up the pipe, I could not get out of it. Pressing space didn’t help, nor did making the character smaller. Don’t know if there is a correct way to do it.

Nice premise and visuals though, good job!

Developer

Thanks! and yea the way to get out of the pipe after climbing up was to unfold so your edges support you, normally you're not supposed to be able to jump but that's something that slipped past unfortunately

and thank you!

Such a nice game it is. Loved the challenges and the visuals. Well done! Keep it up.

Told me we can't get past the truck...
I beg to differ little paper dude xd

btw the game looked really nice, like a little big planet custom level.
I guess this is the power of unreal engine

Developer

xd

gone where no piece of paper has gone before!

Really creative take on the theme, and especially refreshing since I haven't seen anything like it! Real fun play :)

This was a very unique game. Music was good, concept was good. I did find a hilarious bug though. I was able to climb through the floor and fall out of the map haha. Also, my graphics card was screaming the whole time. 5/5

Enjoyed the story. Great idea for scaling. It worked really well. The environment was really interesting and fun to discover.

The controls/collisions were problematic. I got stuck a lot, where I had to wiggle free or restart the game.

Nice unique game.

The core mechanic of folding paper is so smart! Although some parts of the level weren't very clear and took me a while to figure out what to do.

Wow, the idea of transforming different sizes of paper is very innovative, and the paper like art style is amazing too! Now I stuck at the rooftop stage where there is a diagonal pipe at the background... never mind, I will try to play again! :D

Thank! glad you like it! :) took some sleepless nights but happy with the result!

(and for that level try pushing the long box :p)

This is one of the more unique concepts I've seen. Lots of games about resizing player characters, but I like the potential this one has due to the way resizing changes the shape of the character. The potential for puzzles in this I think is pretty high.

The controls are the only thing that leave a little to be desired. Moving from background to foreground can feel clunky.

Overall though, great job. You should feel good about this entry!

Developer

Thank! yea i wanted to try and take the classic idea and like add some extras to it, had a lot of other mechanic ideas that had to be scrapped in the end but would love to make a full version!

yea that's fair, there's definitely a decent amount of jank to it xd
and thanks! hoping i can get it featured in the video if i'm lucky :p

Nice to see another game made in Unreal! Really cute character, first time I got stuck in the gutter sadly but after that it worked great :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! glad to see someone else in unreal, your game looks great from the screenshots, i'll make sure to give it a look!

This game is very unique compared to other games ive played this jam! The art and story was great for a game made in 96 hours, and it played really well : D

Excellent game. So far the best I've seen out of everything I've reviewed. Love the concept and it fits the theme perfectly!

Developer

Wow, that means a lot, thank you!! Really glad you liked it

Really unique mechanic and good polish, but there were some visual issues when folding and unfolding, and I managed to somehow make it outside the pipe.

Great game!! Super unique mechanic for this jam, I don't think I've seen any folding paper yet!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!! Hoping to maybe play around with the mechanic some more, had a lot of ideas that had to he scrapped cause of time :p

Quite amazing for 96 hours. I'm about to bring out my Doritos and Mountain Dew; feels exactly like a Nintendo release.

Developer

Wow that's a big compliment! Thank you!

Love the story and cute main character.
I first assumed that when Nami realized he was called useless he was going to give the humans paper cuts.

The folding and unfolding was a clever idea, the puzzles were a bit on the simpler side but the art, story and general polish definitely made up for that!

Also I cannot understate how good the cutscenes were!

Left a comment on the main page too, I love Nami so much. He's so charming and has so much character! I love the facial expressions. Its a super interesting concept and I'd love to see more of it!

A fun game with interesting mechanics and a cute art direction.  I’m interested to see what it could be like given some more development time.

simply amazing

The art and animations are super impressive for only 4 days! I got stuck on one of the first jumps and didn't know how to get past it.

Developer

Thanks! and ah. well the main mechanic is to fold yourself wider to then bridge a gap like that, probably should've added a bit better of a tutorial for that aspect
