Nice little game. It was a little slow for me to run but this was a blast to play
Very good game and a very direct approach to it.
However game felt unoptimized as it felt slow to run

This is nifty and something I would be happy to see developed into a full game. :) Especially if there was some weight and benefit / consequence to whether or not you are doing your job of weighing correctly, here in this prototype it doesn't seem to matter if you judge correctly or not other than an explanation of what you got right or wrong.
I thought about doing something with justice scales but couldn't come up with something, this is amazing! The Papers, Please concept of cross referencing multiple sources of information works really well here. Honestly I think this could be extended into a full game, after all you covered only a tiny part of human civilization so far :D
The sound design was also superb, that gavel was a joy to bang on the brass thingy.
a good amount of content, tho i wish there was more :P
i loved this game, the laws and all the different interlocking mechanics made the game more and more complicating ("papers please" style)
just reading the other comments and now i realize the "papers please" comparison is pretty common lol.
Fun game, I love how such simple mechanics can allow for so much narrative creativity, the satire of religion is really funny. I wish it went a bit further, as there seems to be so many things possible with the multi-religion stuff at the end, but I guess you lacked time at the end, as we all do in game jams ! And that's always a good sign when people want to see more anyways...
Well done !
Very cute nod to Papers Please! It was similarly very bleak and funny, and the mallet mechanic was good. I admittedly didn't understand to use the weights for each thing at first, and I was just putting one on whichever side seemed "Correct".
That intro !
This game was very reminiscent of "Papers Please", but you gave it your own very creative twist. Really well done!
This was a great jam. I apologize for all the spelling mistakes. The deadline was suddenly close! A incomplete list below:
which -> witch
Kim Christy (this 1st Kim) -> Charles Darwy
Stalesperson -> Salesperson
stales pitches -> sales pitches
Virtualism -> Virtuology
Interesting! great intro!
The physics are so fun! It's fun reading the stories but even just slamming the hammer is fun!
Super cool game! the guy that executed 100 peasants is still a sinner in my heart tho 😂
Very impressive for a game made in 48 hours!
I was quite surprised to see it open with a cut-scene. That's not something you see often in game jam games.
I was reminded of Paper's Please by the overwhelming amount of rules I need to follow.
I really liked the tone of the game - very lighthearted and whimsical.
Cool concept, very chill.
It was a blast. It's been a few years without jams! Loved working on it 😊
Fun times! Great job everyone :)
