I really liked the goofy little guys :) Like a few others, I wasn’t super sure exactly how to play, and it wasn’t clear whether the various buttons actually did anything (I wasn’t able to notice, if so), but it was charming nonetheless!

I was a little confused at how to play, but I loved the aesthetic and the style of the characters!

I like the vaporwave vibe of the world and the art of the little guys. I did have a few issues trying to play the game - was hard to click on things / still am not sure if I was able or not to press the buttons on the bottom (do they have any feedback in the world when pressed? or just stat changes?). I do like the general game idea though of trying to manage stats of multiple characters by making global changes that affects the world as well

there’s not much to describe what’s happening! we had a bunch of particle fx paul did but i was too tired to implement them. they’re pretty great, the triangle-based ones look like this:

and obv we would have tied them to different emotional states based on their behaviors, or reactions to the world events. so an antisocial cat hates thunderstorms, etc!! i can’t find a gif of one but i think paul also did one of like a star. anyways, all the units do is kiss, bop around and scale up and down!

but anyways thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing!!

I do not have any idea how to play it, the mouse disappears at weird points in time and there's no tutorial on what to do either in the itch page or in the game.

The visuals are so adorable though and I love the concept of the game. Great job being able to submit it and if you respond with how the game works in web, I'd be happy to give it a retry!

Very fair and thank you for the comment! The mouse currently moves from "captured" to "uncaptured" each click. The idea being, you can click, move and look around, then click again, and use the UI. However don't let me gaslight- this IS a crazy/insane/bonkers UX solution, the game wasn't originally even first person, and isn't really helped out much by the POV shift.

Two other small notes:

1. The average temperature this weekend of the 3 participants was greater than 100 degrees F (lol - we were all various degrees of sick, so this is "literally" a fever dream in some ways???)

2. The goal is just to see how the world events affects units and their scale.  If you've looked around, clicked on some units and seen their stats change, you win! :)

Thanks for playing <3  - cm

Okay, I get it now! The game is really cute, and actually now that I get the point of the game I'm having a lil fun chillin with the little ones :)
