Love the concept and tone of the game. Nice use of shaders when moving behind objects! Though quite sure how the jam theme was implemented here.
The game has a very nice ambiant, nice graphics and a huge potential. I unfortunately had a bug at the "write" part, and avoiding the fire is a bit difficult because of the short timing. The theme of the gamejam is quite discret even if the hero is small.
I really like the vibe of this!
The animation choices and how things move and respond.
Nice music too, good string arrangement with the piano.
Very creative :)
Very charming visuals! Most submissions here are gameplay oriented, so its very refreshing to see clear story)
This game looks incredible, but I struggle to see any mechanics that are connected to the theme
I like the story and how is being told. It is very creative and yet simple. Some how, during the part where the baby cries start, the game went black and I could not see the keys, and eventually I fell down and did not respond so I did not get to complete the game but I did enjoy how unique it is.
Nice job! great look, bouncing on the keys was super juicy, the baby noise was a bit loud, but I suppose babies are a bit loud
A fantastic submission that tells a good and relatable story with style.
First note: I had to install C++ Visual Studio and the .NET framework on Windows 11 for the Unreal Engine 4 to work. This might turn a lot of people off from playing the game. I'm not sure if it's something you can control, but it's something to be aware of.
Amazing music and aesthetics. I loved the sepia filter over everything and the simple textureless 3D models. The player character is cute. Simplicity goes a long way here.
The story's very common, but not depicted that often in art, so I appreciated it. The ending is fantastic.
For gameplay: it would be interesting if you needed to backtrack more to find the letters to spell the target word. You could also play with puns and synonyms. I found the platforming with the flames that appeared and disappeared pretty difficult.
Amazing work. Thanks!
Great work on your entry! Very polished for a jam, with a lot of great atmosphere and style
Very interesting game idea and really creative. With minor hitbox tweaks with the burners I think this game would be golden.
Love the style and feel, but needs some technical touchups. Would love to see a more fleshed out version.
Neat concept, though the platforming is a little slow, and death doesn't seem to do anything. After the baby cries, it went completely black and I seem to have fallen out of the map
