I loved the idea and the backstory, now I know why they are so annoying! It's a really funny concept and I'd definitely play the extended game.

Yeah, they're really sneaky. Thank you very much!

Lovely approach for this theme!!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah I was very happy with the pitch.

Great idea! Nothing to add that hasn't already been said. Good work.

Thank you very much!

A funny idea, I like the vibe, but the execution is a little lacking. All the buttons have the same dialogue options and as the people below said, there isnt much feedback. There is a lot of potential tho! Gamejams are hard, so Im sure that you can still be proud of yourself. :)

Thanks for taking the time to play and leave a comment!

I agree with all of the other feedback given here, some extra feedback between the player and the hero would I think make the game feel very fun. That said, I still got a good chuckle out of it and loved the premise, writing and the art. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you liked it despite the problems that have been discussed below.

Cheers!

I really like this idea, and the writing is very funny. I agree that there wasn't enough feedback for your advice; it felt like I wasn't accomplishing much of anything, since no matter what I told the heroine she never seemed to do anything differently (e.g. I tell her to pick up ammo, but nothing happens).

Developer

Glad it made you smile, mission accomplished for me :)

Thank you for taking the time to check it out!

Very unique idea! Flipping a trope on its head is always a laugh, and the writing was spot on for this. I've never been rated on my annoyance factor before, but an annoyer score of 104 sounds pretty good for me.

I've love to see some immediate feedback to some of the advice I give, to create a stronger connection to the heroine on screen. Maybe have the standard list of advice, but then a separate resource/time-limited pool of 'urgent advice' that forces the some kind of noticeable effect or feedback.

This comment hits my thoughts on the head, this game was great, but wanted to better understand how what I was doing impacted the main character! I only ended up with an annoyer score of 55 though.

Developer

Yeah, the game clearly lacks feedback from the heroine. I take note of your ideas. 104 is still a very good annoyer score :)

Thank you both for taking the time to play and for the feedback!

The idea for this game is really creative and it is presented nicely. My only criticism is that it gets kind of repetitive after a while.

Developer

I understand what you're saying. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to check it out!
