Interesting concept, I liked that I had to balance between places. I felt like an indicator as to where veggies needed rescue would have done a lot for me. Great job!
Thanks for playing, and glad you enjoyed it. An indicator was something we discussed during the jam and would be included in a more full version of the game if we ever make one.
It's a really novel concept and was executed really well. At first I didn't realize that I had to go back to check on the tomato again so I was confused at the game overs, but I figured it out afterwards. Did anyone else just stand in front of the blender to see what would happen when the counter reached zero?
I like the concept and the art and music is so cute!
Nice game, it was a good combo of keeping track on if the fruits were okay and exploring to look for worm, i liked it
Like the concept!
Great Concept! I was a bit confused in the beginning but overall well done!
It defiantly requires some trial and error at the beginning , a tutorial could improve that. I'm glad you stuck with it long enough to it to figure it out.
Took a bit to work out what to do where, and there seems to be no way to fully turn off the blender. Nice boss fight!
Thanks! I'm glad you played enough to get to the boss fight. The blender was designed to be managed rather than turned off.
Finished the game, saw the ending but I want more tasks to handle, more epic boss fight!
Still I saw a potential in this game. Nice work👍
Fun to play although the mechanics took a moment to figure out. Graphics look great as well!
Thanks! We have enjoyed learning about vector art and parallax and hope to do more of it the future. A tutorial would defiantly add to the game.
Like another commenter said: the theme is a bit loose with this game, but still, okay, I can see where the reversal is.
Having two timers lurking in the back while you try to slay the worms makes it so that you have to regularly have to check on your fruit companions. Not my style of gameplay, but I could see how to expand the idea to make a complete game.
The lore isn't very coherent (bullet-shooting watermelon slays worms to lure chef in???), but hey, why not?
It was a nice concept, good job ^^
Thanks! I sounds like you spent some time with game so I'm glad of that. I agree with you on the lore, game changed concept a few times during development leaving it a little quirky, but I'm happy with what we produced for a first game jam my friend and I completed together.
Funny game, although (as for many games I've played so far) the theme is a bit of a stretch ;-).
There is much polish to be desired obviously but I had a fun time playing it, after some initial confusion on what to do!
Interesting concept! Wasn't sure how to win though?
After you kill enough worms a boss appears and kill him twice to win. click to shoot worms.
i love the style of this game, and i think our game uses the same music which is quite funny
