Interesting one game! Fun concept and good realisation:D The only thing I would add is another jump key (Space). Also the most of particles are purple for some reason

I really enjoyed having multiple monsters working together in order to stop the adventurer by utilizing their unique movement and attacks. The adventurer navigating the level was very well done! The arrow piercing was an interesting challenge to overcome with the three zombie level especially. I'd be very curious to see how different monsters might behave to stop more adventurers. What if there were multiple adventurers that needed to be stopped simultaneously?

I liked getting all the different abilities, reminded me of capturing enemies in Mario odyssey. I was a bit confused why sometimes I would lose control of my character after hitting the "player", and sometimes I would get to stay.

Developer

The reason why you sometimes lose control of the monster, is because i made it so that if the player doesnt have a direct line of sight to the monster, then you can still use that monster because it wouldnt have died... or it could have been a glitch

Really liked the concept and the art! Found the levels a bit hard, but that can also be a skill issue as I struggled mostly with switching which bad guy I was playing as. Good job ^^ With the skill issue, switching from one enemy to another through Esc button seemed so far away when you're using your left hand to also move, but I also have small hands. ^^"

That's okay, a lot of people have had problems with the difficulty, the levels were also a bit rushed and it was acually harder but tried to make it easier last minute. I also had some bugs with the HTML version of the game that made it so you would have 2 monsters selected at once, if you tried to switch while having a monster selected, but that feature is in the .exe version, but thank you for playing, and the critism, will try to better my control scheme and difficulty next jam

Pretty cool! I liked how the adventurer's attack could pierce so you had to be careful about where you attacked. Needing to knock them to the platform below was cool too.

Quite fun, some levels were a bit hard but the concept was interesting. The controls are not the smoothest and are bit a restricting I think but fun still.

This game was hard, like a certain limb when I saw this art style, wow! One thing that confused me tho, was the ability to switch between monsters, it was like a series of keys you'd have to press: click to control > esc to leave monster > find next monster > click - in the span of a second or two. Maybe a single keybind would be more effective? Like the arrow-keys to cycle through the monsters to find the specific one you'd like to control. Overall this is a game that is somewhat speedrunnable, which I think is a trend with your games. Your main menu kinda reminded me of one your other games called Limit, their main menu is incredibly similar,  other than that I absolutely loved the game. The idea of playing the dungeon and not the hero is awesome, good job.

OK, that was really fun. Thanks Pancakeey!

Very fun game, though a bit difficult (based on your comment below, sounds like I should have tried the exe version)

Some of the later levels were pretty hard, but fun! I would have liked being able to switch between monsters even when already possessing one, as making the wrong possession can instantly doom an attempt. Solid submission and great visuals!

Developer (1 edit)

The reason you can't switch between monsters while one is active was because of a bug in the HTML version so i removed the feature, but it is in the .exe version

Ah, I see! I'll check that out then!
