I am a mario rpg fan so this game intrigued me. I think the characters are pretty cool. Blocking attacks worked very well and the rotation mechanic has potential. I would have loved to be able to rearrange the party positions because my healer wasn't next to my warrior but that was my bad I guess.
We have pretty many choices, and the healer may be useful in future takes.
Unique rats are what really sell the game. (Hint for others, grab the healer)
Really fun, and the art is adorable!
oh i really loved the character design!
especially with the different mice
would love to see their backstories and
how they ended up here with the others hehe ✿
The art is quite pretty, but it doesn't seem to animate well. I do think there is something in this combat system, but it takes way too long with a lot of turns not talking advantage of the unique aspects. There is quite some jank, with textboxes moving off screen and I did not find a quit option and had to shut it down manually. But still a great submission.
The art is great and love the tie in of ratking to the theme. Fun game!
Cute setting and fun gameplay!
Loved the art and gameplay mechanic, although it was a bit confusing at first (maybe a tutorial introduction would have helped to further introduce the gameplay). Still had a blast with the game though. Keep up the great work!
Don't mind me, just checking out the other rat king related submissions- and wow- this art is amazing! The music is great too. I wasn't expecting a full-fledged rpg battle system with Paper Mario like action commands- amazing job! The rotation mechanic is really neat too, I like positioning-based roles in RPGs and when I realized that you were using the rat king concept in that way it was a really cool moment. I'm curious to see how far this game goes.. I've already gained new abilities on some of my rats. Really neat submission.
Oh, and the turtle holding their shell as a shield is an excellent touch.
Thanks! I was wondering if anyone else would do the ratking concept lol
