Super nice touch! The levels was hard (some of them) but really easy to understand! Well done 😁

Thanks, I also played your game and found it super enjoyable.

Pretty neat mechanics each level.  I liked how each level has its own learning curve. On critique I would give is that the scenes are very bright and high contrast, maybe stick to a soft color theme, but still pretty fun.

Developer

Yeah, I don't know that much about color theory and I didn't really know any good color palette websites so I just kinda improvised.

Good job for your first game! Movement was solid and the idea has a solid foundation. The screen size was super tiny for me though so it made it hard to see. I also found failure to be pretty unforgiving so some kind of checkpoint system would be helpful.

Developer

Yeah if I knew a way to do that with construct i would have done that but i didn't so that's why the levels are so short.

For a first game, it was definitely fun to play! The joined mechanic was a bit easy since both screens would have basically the same platforms but I have to say, good job! :D

Developer

Yeah if I make a post-jam version I will definitely do more with the mechanic.

Congratz on your first game :)

It was quite enjoyable for such a simple game which is always good! At some points in level 2 I got confused cuz I died without knowing why. One suggestion I have is if you have 2 joined platformers that are connected, add more gameplay to support that mechanic, right now I could pretty much just focus on one.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks your comment gave some really good ideas and if I make a post-jam version I will definitely do that.

a lot of fun platformer concepts that are executed nicely, the minimalist artstyle works really well

Developer

Thanks! I really appreciate your compliment since I didn't know if it would make me seem lazy or the game feel rushed(it is a game jam so of course, it's a little rushed but more than it actually is).

really good for your first ever game, i really like the mechanic.

It would have been nice to have one button to switch but i quickly got used to it

Well done

Developer

Thanks for the compliment but you can't do that with Construct which is the only programming platform that I can actually kinda use.

Submitted(+1)

you only need one button to switch ;)

great job!!

Developer (1 edit)

I'm sorry but you cant toggle the solid feature with construct though so I can't do that.

Submitted

it's great, switching the red and blue things should have been one button

Developer

I tried to do that but construct doesn't have a toggle function for the solid behaviour so I can't do that. Maybe ill find a workaround after the game jam but I don't know how right now.

Simple but fun idea! I did struggle until I realized you can't touch the ceiling (I didn't realize that was a lose condition) and at times my two characters got a bit out of sync horizontally due to bumping up against a platform or something which made some jumps impossible, but for a jam game this was a good idea and could definitely be expanded on. Nice!

Developer

I will probably do a post-jam version so yeah ill see if I can fix that in that.

Really nice game!! it was i bit hard for me but that might just be im really bad at platformers anyway can you do me a favor and check out my game

Developer
