How does your game fit the theme?
Two things are joined together: First, the cards are two effects joined together. The top is a basic effect, the bottom can be a multiplier, a weakness, or another action. You have some control over those joints. Secondly, the card pool is shared between you and the opponent. What you don't play, it will play against you.

I’m not good at card games, but I really like mechanics in this one! It’s cool that enemies play cards that you don’t, it does change the way you play the game quite a lot. I really like the graphics, it’s very cute. Great game overall!

Well, this is exactly my kinda game. I really loved the shared deck dynamic and figuring out what I wanted to give the enemies to play. It was also VERY satisfying to give them 3 lots of Take 2x damage and killing them in one hit. My main feedback would be about refining how things are communicated. I completed the game and beat the wizard at the end, but I'm still not clear what order the events happened, or why the wizard would sometimes take no damage from my attacks. But the core is here and this could go on to be a truly great game. I hope to see more!

It was very fun and I was pleasantly surprised that there is a cutscene after the first fight, it was cute and I like the artstyle :) I lost at the third fight, 1 hp left unfortunately ; it would have been great to add checkpoints between fights. Otherwise, well done!

Simple and cute art, and good implemented card game. Good job!

Really impressive you made a full card based combat game in 48hrs and the art is fantastic good work!

You got a good game going here, the art is simplistic but cute, and the gameplay seems balanced. As the others have said though, the game is really difficult to understand at first. To mitigate it, I recommend investing more time through the tutorial, explain more in-depth what exactly will happen. Think of it like you're teaching someone new to a card game everything about the rules, rather than just giving the steps, you explain what happens when you perform the actions.

Overall, again, good game. All it needs is that extra bit of polishing in the tutorial, and I think it'd be much more enjoyable.

Great, unique cardgame! The animations really helped telegraph what was going on.

I'd suggest having somewhere on the screen that you could mouse over to see the order the cards play. I found myself having to scroll down to the instructions a couple times. Other than that, everything else was pretty self-explanatory! It feels almost closer to a puzzle game because of how you control both your cards and your opponents.

I think a hint of randomness would go a long way in this! Maybe randomize the order the cards get played, or add some ranges for numbers like 1-3 damage instead of 3 damage.

Nice entry!

Great game with smooth and balanced gameplay! Great work!

Cute game, took a little bit to understand it but once I did it was more smooth (and then the character changed and I was confused for a bit again). Showing turn order for the cards would be really nice.

Adorable art and animations!

I really like the idea of switching some cards around too.

It's hard to understand what's going on at first (the double effect for cards and in which order actions take place) but the game is really well done. Battles are fun and you really needs to use your brain!

Clever!

As a side note, animation and graphics are cut but in my opinion, a "skip animation" or something could help, especially the last battle that tends to be longer)

The game was confusing at first as the instructions were not very clearly conveyed in the game. The sudden perspective change from knight to slime king was also not clearly shown (I thought I was still the knight at first). However, once I understood what was going on, I found the game to be really fun with some unique mechanics.

Needed some time to figure out how it works, but THEN i smashed them! In the beginning i thought the slime is the enemy because of the positioning :D awsome idea! Slimepower! <3

I'm not sure how worked the game, I think you should give more explanations or a quick tutorial, but beyond that, the graphics are really cute, and the concept is nice :)

I really liked the style and concept! It was a little unclear at first, maybe an additional prompt/tutorial could clear this up but overall really liked the game! ♋︎
