Fun idea, but a bit too easy with all the balls joined together, and their interactions can end up making them move in very weirds.
I very fun Idea i like how both the balls and paddles are conneded. however the balls being joined made the game easier and i only needed to hit a few of the balls to keep the game going. But overall a very solid game and a good take on the theme
lmao this is so fun, if you keep some ball behind the paddle, the balls will cluster around the paddle and you'll have insane scores, fun game, very satisfying
Great Game
Really fun, just it was broken for me because the "lack of action detected" was very broken and I did restart a lot.
1730 was my score, my screen was slowly getting consumed by the balls! It was fun and I liked the simplicity of it.
Really fun, and I like the simple artstyle and colors!
honestly a lot of fun, something I would play in my spare time or when I'm in school
High score? The game ends up being rather cheesy - by leaving some balls behind your paddle, you can keep moving up/down and scoring those points. I'm not sure if this was intentional design; but it could indeed be leaned into. It ends up being a different game entirely.
I think this was rather well constructed. Perhaps try not having all the balls be the same "blob" - once the majority of the blob is across the screen, you're done for: and this is largely an inevitability. Maybe stop the balls off-screen from blobbing.
I had a couple physics bugs, unfortunately. Once, the balls spawned behind my paddle, and I couldn't hit them. This time, the two balls orbited around each other for a long time. I think that the tutorial was well-implemented, and the game looks great. I think when "no action is detected", it should probably impart some movement left/right to get it going again?
Thankyou for the absolutely magnificence feedback!
The Lack of Action Part was suppose to work and make the ball fly into your paddle when the 2 ball spinning ring happened, but for some reason the build version never worked and I had to submit it as is. I fixed it right after the jam and it now works as intended.
Yeah, you can cheese it and I decided to leave it in. I kept working on the game and I made it alot harder in general and I am in the process of smushing out any possiblitiy of moving the paddle in between a link.
Thankyou again for the fantastic comment and playing my game!
Great job! Clean, good controls. Nice addition to a classic game idea. Great work.
I managed to continuously get a bug where the balls would get stuck and just spin beside the paddle, having to reset.
Yep, fixed that bug right after the Jam ended, Thankyou for the feedback!
Super fun! I like how chaotic it gets, and it looks really good, and I like the bold flat colors! :)
This was a really interesting concept, and I loved how you twisted pong to fit the theme! The graphics are simple but really stylish, and the ball multiplying was a fun surprise when I discovered it. The gameplay is really simple but that's what I find fun about it. The pixelation effects were super good as well.
I did find one small bug though, where if I tilted and held a paddle and multiple balls that are aligned with each other (so that they hit the paddle at the same time), some balls would end up on the other side and start multiplying by a ton.
All in all this is a great take on the theme, good job!
Thankyou for the incredibly detailed reply! The XBRz Pixel Filtering looked outstanding with the 3 color graphics and am very happy with how it turned out! Yup, I decided to leave that "bug" in and with it got a score of 4013. I don't know if I will try to prevent that from happening or not - or maybe make it harder to do. Again, thankyou for the reply!
A nice fun little game, I like that you can hold on to a couple balls to pull the rest back if you lose the majority
Thanks for Playing and leaving feedback, it means a lot!
Cool twist on pong! Love the simplicity. The movement of the balls is as satisfying as it is janky, it has a lot of character. Would make an interesting two player experience, more of cooperative pong. The twisting of the paddle is an interesting touch!
Thanks for Playing my game and leaving feedback, it means a ton! If you are interested on the Shader/SmoothPixelArt Effect, look up "XBRz". Making the game satisfying was a goal and it awesome to see that I achieved it.
Cool Idea. Sometimes the balls would curve, I think when you instantiated them they ended up parented to other balls. To mix it up a bit
Balls get chained together like orbiting planets, which may be producing the curving effect: 100% intentional. Thanks for playing the game and commenting!
I really like the idea of controlling both paddles and being able to rotate them. I had a good laugh when I managed to "cheat the system" and collide multiple times with the same balls, I got around 480 points. I would like to see how it's like with faster balls, then probably the paddles would have to move faster as well. Very fun game, really enjoyed it :)
Thanks for playing the game and giving feedback! Ill expirment with ball speed in Unity. My Brother was able to get 4013 , the closest I got was around 2000.
