In hindsight I should have built my game for browser.

Going through the submissions, I've noticed that browser games (webgl) seem to get a lot more reviews. In hindsight, I'll definitely keep this in mind for the next jam! What platforms did you guys build for?

cool thanks! Will check it out and give you a rating. I ended up building a webgl version separate for easier playing, but link is the same for the submissions rate page.

Especially with webgl builds on unity, it would have taken just one click! Good learning experience for distribution. Oh well, next time!

We also made our game for Windows but may aim for browser next time for this reason. Exporting to HTML in Unreal Engine is still an experiment though.

I'll get to your game ASAP. Here's ours: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/460245

We tried to build for html5 but it's still buggy in Godot and it didn't work.  We did do  Osx and linux though. hope that helps some..

I believe that it is better if you have more platforms. For example, I have a Linux, and there is a lot of Windows-only submission I cannot check. Usually it is not a headache to export it to browser, so I would recommend you doing it. I believe you get more ratings in that way -in this way it works in every OS and it may be accesible to mobile!

We exported our game to browser, Win and Linux, since we had the possibility to do so. The HTML5 exporter is not 100% reliable (it gives us some music bugs sometimes) so having also the native exporters is a good idea also!

I leave the game here in case you're interested in it :D

That's so true.. am suffering due to it... and also the build should have lower download size in an overcrowded game jam where people are literally craving for someone to rate them...

More than the quality of game produced ..I think with these numbers the fight is towards building  game with easy accessibility on browser
