Really love the art style, though is quite calming and pretty compared to the hoards of fishy undead! 😂 Was quite overwhelming having to run, look, avoid undead, pick up weapons andd shoot at the same time but it's definitely engaging! 😅✨
The graphics were really nice, I love the little fish monsters running up the beach with the plastics attached to them (maybe love is the wrong word)
The controls could be a little frustrating at times though, I don't know if that comes under polish, but they definitely impacted my ability to progress.
I found the controls a bit frustrating but thought it was a good use of the theme and has lots of potential. I think the area of the objects for successful pick ups could have been a little more generous.
yeah agreed the controls and the spawning is one of the first things we have addressed in polish!
Was a fun little shooter! I had fun doing it half a dozen times.
The controls are a bit hard though. Also I tried to explore the island, but it seemed like weapons weren't spawning anywhere outside of where you start. So would have been fun to be rewarded for exploring!
yeah the weapon spawning is because it will only spawn X amount in a radius around you. If you don't pick them up then new ones wont spawn. We didn't set up a system for them to despawn over time so its another polish job!
The controls felt a little clunky and i was confused how to play but found how to play on the games page, it would be nice to have the controls explained in a tutorial or just having the controls listed somewhere, good game overall just needs a bit of polish :)
yeah totally agree with all the issues you mentioned and it is all on our polish list!
Visually it is really good, though the gameplay probably requires a little bit of polish, most of it related to enemies and the shooting system :)
im glad you enjoyed the visuals! The mechanics are a little rough but we are well aware of it and aim to polish it all up during the polish week.
Have to say, this is a VERY impressive game to have made in a week. It is really fun and satisfying to get the zombies and the one time use with the weapons is a cool quirk. Only thing I would say is that using the mouse to turn around was very difficult and wasn't really possible to aim properly. Otherwise, amazing output!
