I really like the gameplay concept. The visuals and art are well done. The UI is polished for sure, but the gameplay does need a bit of work. As others have mentioned already, the game needs to be balanced as it quickly ramps up to the point where you're no longer seeing the enemies anymore and your turrets rapid fire out into the horizon. After long enough, some of the turrets start to glitch out and some of the upgrades stop working properly. I've noticed also that when you use the carpe diem abilities, your turrets stop firing. Was that intentional?

Anyway, all of our entries need to be polished up, so don't sweat it! I like what I see here. It's a solid base for a fun game that'll be worth following up on for sure! Best of luck!

Nice idea, but not quite balanced as it stands, once I had got the idea of not doing anything during the first wave, then I beat the second wave by keeping the fire-rate high and a few upgrades and after that I hardly ever saw an enemy again, I got too far ahead of them...

I also wasn't sure that the purpose of the "Carpe Diem" button was, I mean it obvious gave me more happy pictures but was it changing the game?  I wasn't sure...  I thought when I got all four pictures that might be a win, but it seemed not.

Nice idea though!

The "carpe diem" button would give different boosts based on randomness, but the game not being balanced doesn't make you understand if you are actually using them ..

We didn't have time to insert various things, including explanations of the carpe diems, enemies sounds, additional animations, title screen and final screen.
That said  thank you for the review, we hope to improve soon. ^^

Rated! It's a tower defense game. Solid. Balancing issues, but can't expect that to be great in such a short period of time. All around, good job!

Thank you so much for the review!

This was a pretty good tower defense game! The art was nice and the basic gameplay was enjoyable, as I got sucked in to playing. I have to agree with some of the other feedback, there needs to be some balancing, but otherwise, it's very good!

Thank you so much for the feedback, we'll work to update a most complete and fixed version of the game!

Tip for someone struggling with first level - just buy regen and then DO NOTHING! Or you can just do nothing but you will take damage and will not have upgrade. It's kinda strange that first level is like most difficult one and only previous comment inspired me to try again. I appreciate the concept, even tho balancing with this would be really hard i think. Button "Carpe Diem" is also interesting idea, but imho game has a lot of waiting time, you could speed up at least this moment and mb have controls for changing time speed. Anyway, good visuals, not bad audio, decent game overall

Thank you so much for you suggestions and the support, we know that unfortunately there are lot of problems with the levels so we'll try to balance the game as soon as possible, so your advice is very welcome^^

The game is really fun at the start but you hit infinite power pretty quickly after a couple of regen upgrades and then you can spam all of the other upgrades until enemies die on spawn. I like the concept of health = attack speed = currency, but it makes hoarding the resource a really broken strategy because of how much damage it gives you.

Developer

Our idea was to have a single resource that could give the idea of "investing on yourself", of course the game still needs to be balanced a lot, sadly we didn't make it in time before the deadline. We will definitely add some missing details and work better on some aspects of the game that need to be fixed! We really appreciate the help for improvement and we want to thank you for trying our game!
