That is a lot of character for a gamejam. My knowledge of norse mythology is about as plentiful as the gold-mines on the moon (nonexistent) but I still had a blast. I failed literally every single encounter. No wonder I'm single. Even though I didn't smash (literally) any monster, I still had a blast. The aesthetic was great and the audio really helped. I'm not that much into dating sims, so I can't tell you if it's a good one, or not. A game well done, for sure!
Thank you so much! I’m very happy that the art turned out ok, I barely finished it all in time, haha! I’m glad you liked it!
I see this is a 2-person team. So, well done it generating all of this within one week. I liked the art style and am a fan of Norse mythology, having written and made documentaries about it I know these stories well. I think you have a unique take. My advice would be to try and make it more charming. I don't feel your selected music matches with the style of storytelling you are going for. Try and edit the text down as well. All that said, this was a charming little take on Norse mythology.
Thanks so much! I almost didn’t finish in time for the art, so I admit much of the music/sound aspects were a bit rushed. I’m also honored that someone so knowledgeable in the subject had a good time with it, our goal was to sprinkle some more obscure aspects of the mythology into the game for people to spot or look into more if interested.
Well this was a delight. Certainly the most finished / polished game I've played so far and the first to focus on clever writing and excellent art instead of unique mechanics and gameplay. It can't be understated how hard it can be to write good Dialogue Choices and this definitely hit the spot, I never felt like a choice didn't play out the way I couldn't expect in hindsight. Even without deep knowledge of the norse gods and their stories I was able to scrape by and get a pretty satisfying ending on my first try. So far definitely the most fun I've had, very well done!
Wowie, thanks a lot! Neither of us have much experience writing stuff like this, so I'm relieved to hear that it turned out well. I'm glad you enjoyed playing!
This is good, I get to be Thor and dab like my fellow kids!
Good use of audio too! Now I really wish I could have figured out how to put audio in my game lol

Love the artstyle and how you used sounds! Interesting story, and overall quite polished for a jam game! I enjoyed it even tho Loki prevailed :(
Thanks! It took me forever to find all the sound effects and music, so it's good to hear that you liked them. Thanks for playing!
This game really caught me off guard. I didn't expect that type of game in a game jam, but it was really fun. The graphics were cool too. Maybe you could've added some more gameplay-diversity other than just clicking, but for a dating-sim-style game it was totally fine. Overall very nice.
Glad to hear that you were pleasantly surprised! We actually had discussed adding some minigames, but due to time and engine constraints, we just stuck with what we had. Anyways, thanks a lot for checking out our game!
The game has a cute artstil with a fun and interesting story. It has a nice sence of humor and its pretty long for five days of time to develop. The music was nice but not always fitting. I don't think its good to have soft jazz music in the background while talking to a giant snake or a god eating dog. I also liked the knowledge brought in the game from the nordic mythologie. Overall a nice little game. I just couldn't tell how it fits the theme of the gamejam. Maybe you can explain it to me.
Heyo, thanks for playing! Glad you liked the artstyle and story! I suppose I'll talk a bit about how we got the idea for this game. So the theme "Carpe Diem" means seize the day, so we just thought, let's have a game about the end of the world, cuz you have to "seize" the last day (before everything ends). Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the game!
I understand. But its hard to get it by yourself. And i really enjoyed your game. Keep it up.
Heyo, thanks a lot! I'm sure the artist will be glad to hear that someone appreciated his work! As far as future development, there are a few things I'd like to fix and add after the jam, but we don't have any major plans at the moment.
Love it! certainly didn't expect to see a game like this in a jam, but it was a laugh to play. Could use a bit more interactibilty for the player though as a lot of it was just clicking to the next slide, but the use of audio was great and certainly kept me engaged. Well Done!
Hey, glad you enjoyed it! We did our best to make something unique and a bit unexpected. If I had more time, I definitely would've liked to add more player choices and different outcomes. Thank you for the feedback!
