A full on adventure within your game! The Gear Kid was excellent and I was shocked at how much of the Geartroid there was to play. Multiple enemy types and a boss battle. So cool, and such a departure from the main game, but still fit in incredibly well.

Also love the updated NPCs. Game feels more polished all around. Great work. One of my favorites this round.

Thank you so much. It ended up being a bit to take on and I barely made it in time to work on another jam and return to play, critique, and vote on these entries. I've been thinking on it for a bit and I think there could also be a tie in from the games or games into the main game.

This is a genius idea and very well implemented. The game on the Gear Kid  reminds me of Metroidvania, which is awesome. I really liked what I played and the art style is fantastic. My only complaint is that the file size is large but its not a deal breaker. I also noticed that this game does cause my old laptop to heat up pretty bad so I wouldn't want to play for too long. I think the game might use a large memory or CPU and some optimisations could be made but this doesn't take away from my rating as this is one of the best toys I've seen and I've played them all in this round

Thank you. Yeah the file size is crazy for the amount of game and assets that are in it, there are ways to optimize but I'm savvy enough yet to to them without breaking the whole game. Same for the CPU usage. I could switch to a more pixel art friendly engine, but I'm trying to get really good at developing in UE4 so I'm sticking to it.

so you put a game into your game :D I really like the pixelart, especially for the gearkid with the limited pallet. I can't wait how will you continue this

Thank you. It was a lot of fun to make.
