Congrats for your first jam! This is a cool idea for the theme, and the separation mechanic is a great implementation of risk & reward. The look and feel is very cohesive, it's fast-paced and very responsive. Great job!
A really great concept! I wish it has scoreboard so it gets competitive and players get to strategize more. Anyways, great job!
Thanks! My original plan involved a high score leaderboard but I had to cut that along with a few other things as time started to run out. I might do some updates after the jam though.
Really liked this one, one of the best of this jam in my opinion!
Thanks for the kind words! It's my first jam so that means a lot.
It was so fun to play. I like how spliting-up affects the player's speed and points. And the minimalistic graphics looks cool. Great job!
Really good. It seemed difficult from the beginning, but I realized that it can be divided several times and then I really enjoyed driving the fleet. A very good idea and realization plus a retro atmosphere.
Very pretty, very smooth, very well made. Well done!
To improve the game I'd make the splitting more meaningful. As it stands the splitting is just an invincibility mechanic! :P
How did you make it all look so clean and polished?
Check out my entry if you want something more puzzle and less action oriented :)
Thanks for the kind words! The overall look took a lot of trial and error (and I ended up scrapping all of the sprites more than once), so I'm happy to hear I made the right call in the end.
Great concept. Slightly mind bending, or mind-expanding, and that's really cool. You know what would be awesome? an ability to align your copies, so you can use them as a big one-direction great-ship, imagine how many cool strategies that introduces! Or your copies could be like an automated wingmen, which have their own ai. That's inspiring. Probably in one of my planned games I am going to use that splitting/ aligning/or automated ship mechanic, it really has some creative potential. I wonder if different kind of steering could be better, absolute controls, or mouse controls...just wondering... Oh and graphics and style is very cool as well.
Thanks for the feedback! I toyed around with a few different alignment ideas and one day might expand the game to add one or two of the more interesting ones as an option.
Awesome idea, fun to play!
Very FUN!!!

Nice game idea. I just split many parts and destroy the enemy first and and slowly get the scores.
simple and very fun, congratulations and good luck!
Really innovative and nostalgic game :) Kinda difficult because the ship (is that a ship?) moves pretty fast, but when I got used to it, it becomes really fun. Keep up the good work!
I left it vague, but yeah I've generally thought of it as a ship. Regarding the speed just an FYI as I may not have made it obvious enough, but the game speed adjusts up/down depending on how many ships are on the screen so that's one way to slow things down a bit.
It difficult at first but it is fun. The concept is great. Good job and keep going. :)

it took me a moment to realize what I was controlling on screen but its a fun game! It's got quite a steep learning curve when you start separating/doubling up your ship BUT thats where the real fun is too. And I like the whole pro/cons of "double the lives, half the points" concept in general.
Thanks! Once I thought of the concept the rest really clicked together.
Good design. :)
Simple control but really hard game. Overall, a great game.
Very fun mechanic that is a great use of the theme! Risk vs reward on when to split up and its fun to control multiple on the screen at once
Thanks!
