Very nice game.  I took the non-violent approach and tried to get as far as a could just dodging enemies.  The art style is great with music that matches the game perfectly.  It did seem like the player 'stuck' to the walls with a lot of friction which made escape very difficult at times because enemy strikes seem to stick you to the wall.  Really liked this submission to the jam.

Congrats for your game !

It was already pointed out but the mechanic of losing money for kinning ennemies is a little weird. Maybe you could have made it so that you get money by killing them, but lose money when getting hit ? That way it would encourage the player to play well, so as not to have to pay health for upgrades

Anyway don't stress it, game jams are made to test things ^^ Cool game

Lots of nice juice to this game. Fun music. Not a fan of using money to shoot - means I have to break open crates to replenish ammo, which takes me away from the action.

the particles and camera shake make killing enemies fun, the melee attack feels strong and satisfying.

I especially liked the zoom in effect when I dashed into an enemy.  and the music was great.

the main game mechanic however, confuses me - I understand that the theme is paying the price, but killing enemies is the most fun part of the game, and this mechanic punishes me for it. the game was way more fun when I tried killing all the enemies then when I tried rushing through every single room, the upgrades also motivate me to kill enemies when they give me more damage.  then why make me feel bad when killing them, you know?

solid game, good job.

Thanks for the good words! the problem with game mechanic you just pointed out also bugged me from day one but i just decided to not think about it and just go with the first idea popped on my mind because yknow thinking takes much more time and energy sometimes. still i probably could find a solution tho, sadly i didnt. Thanks for the feedback again!

Camera Shake really makes this game pop, also I Love the colour scheme that you used, however I occasionally do get stuck at walls while trying to move.

This is a great game very fun to play. Stunning visuals and audio. I love the camera shake adds so much juice to the game.
