The game is good, but lack polish a bit.
You use Unity Engine, you can change te aspect ration in game to 11:10 instead put 160x144 to scale better :). (I discover it in that Jam)
I like the concept about golf, and some opinion, you can use mouse to aim and shoot or improve the aim using only A and D to aim,
Continue in that way :).
Thank you for the critique. Always happy to learn something new. Aim controls were giving me issues later discovered Transform.RotateAround in Unity too late, that would have helped make it smoother.
A cute little game, however, it doesn't quite feel like a gameboy game. This is due to having the ability to scale the entire course to the screen, as well as the image rotation on the disc. If you're looking for great examples of golf on a gameboy setting... Then I'd recommenced looking into the game 'Golf' on the Gameboy XD
NES Open was my childhood favorite many hours playing it. Tired to take inspiration from that game.I did watch some videos and look at screen shots from GB Golf. I wanted the user to be able to see where the basket was so as not to completely frustrate them. It was a fun challenge. I appreciate the honest critique.
The controls are quite annoying. You snap right if you press right making it so you can't really aim. Would seem fun if you later made it to work with the mouse for precise aiming.
Interesting concept. Be sure to check mine out.
Controls are a bit weird. Choosing a different direction changes the cursor completely instead of slow or iterative movements. The concept and graphics are cool though
