Developer

Thank you! Nikku made the music, and the tutorial has basically all the mechanics in it, so you didn't miss much. I appreciate you sticking to the spirit of the Jam.

Where is Dog Discoverer 1?!?!

I love the dog animations, sooo cute! It would be great if you could remap controls in the game.

Developer

What's Dog Discoverer 1?

Thank you for playing though! Remapping is a popular request, I appreciate the feedback.

I need to try out all of the entries over the weekend. And this one is a whole game wow!

Developer

it's just a tutorial and one real level. I'm experimenting with gameplay mechanics in 3D games.

Nice rolling hills and blue sky on the titlescreen... Though points off because it made me think of the Windows XP default wallpaper ;-)

Developer(+1)

Thanks, but I love the Windows XP wallpaper. That's my inspiration! I make sure to lean even harder into the aesthetic in the future 😉👍

Wow! A whole game!

I think the controls are a little weird to me, turning with a and b, but good job. I will never attempt a 3d game on GBA. It must have been a lot of effort.

Developer

I feel like 3D controls for a GBA game will never be ideal for both handheld and emulator, but I mapped the controls the way I did so that playing on GBA would feel as close as you can get to modern FPS controls. I remapped my buttons on mGBA for playing on my computer, but I admit it's still pretty odd! Thank you
